Sherman Costs ‘Fins Another Victory, Possibly Playoffs

I'm singing the same tune as I was after the first Buffalo game: six men can't pass block four defenders. That's a disaster waiting to happen and it happened yesterday. When your OL can't block a four-man-rush no play-caller in the world will bail you out. That's the reason we couldn't get anything doing yesterday.

and your leader and supposed great Coach " Joe Philbin the idiot" allows this to happen week in week out, time to go Joe u are a pathetic excuse for a man. just leave you bum !

crazy how alot feel here he needs another chance....**** him hes done

Sherman said he abandoned the run after it wasn't successful early. Funnily enough, I've never seen him abandon the pass. Some have said Sherman is playing to his team's strengths. This team's strength is undoubtedly passing, but it's also got its biggest weaknesses there due to pass protection. It's the offensive staffs fault for not establishing the run better this year. I don't think we have overwhelming talent in the running game, but guys are only as good as their opportunity, which has been a pathetic allotment by this staff.

The fins did beat the Bengals though. I looked up the stats. The Bills are strong against the pass and 6th for passing yards allowed, but weak against the run at 23rd. The Bills are 7th with forced turnovers but 18th for pts allowed. And it's probably 18, because of the games against the dolphins here and the jets, otherwise the rest of the teams averaged 20 something pts.

The Bengals were the only team we beat with a top 10 defense and our defense scored 12 of our 22 points...

We win when we use all 3 TE's. We lose when we dont use them in full capacity.

In a game on the road in the weather, you should always be thinking two TE's. So if you go without them in first half, and nothing works, one would think you would in the second half knowing that this is what has been successful when we started to shut off the sack spicket.

I get how a guy who got ran out of town once can get a second chance. However when it happens twice and for the same reasons, you really have to think before giving him another shot. Apparently the good ole boy network trumps simple common sense.

This.

Hey, here's a thought, Ross: Stop. Hiring. The elderly.

I'm sick of the reluctance of calling plays that get Tannehill on the move. I think Tannehill can throw in the pocket and be a pocket passer. I think he's established that. School is over. Time to actually try and win some games now with what we have. I would want to make the defense uncertain on every play if our guy is running or staying in the pocket. Instead, we make the defense extremely comfortable and certain about exactly where our QB will be 3,4,5 seconds after the snap (and they know EXACTLY when we're gonna snap the ball too). If Mike Sherman would've had George Washington's job, the revolution would've lasted a week.

So another OC will call plays and the those same RB will be able to pick up the blitz? Not going to happen, if the line can't hold a block the defense will adjust and start sitting on those quick routes your talking about and get a few pick 6.....if your team can not execute there is nothing a OC can do with play calling.....and I disagree that his offense is predictable. he just beat a defensive genius in belicheat last week....If you want to blame Philbin for not having his team ready to play that's fine, but don't blame the OC for not abandoning his game plan after the first half.....this team has yet to put together a full game and I think the problem is with the players and the execution......
No, another OC might recognize you're going up against one of the better pash rushes in the league and make plans to adjust if necessary. They looked good against NE because NE couldn't exploit the glaring weaknesses in our offense as much as the Bills. The same way the Bills exploited it the last time we met.
Our running game sucks, the only time we are able to run is when we have success threw the air, RT completed 10 passes for 82 yds for the game.......this team is not built to run when they can't pass.....not to mention we couldn't get a first down, to many 3 and outs....what happened yesterday happens sometimes, play calling wasn't going to change it.....
Sometimes, running the same run play over and over into a strength of a defense doesn't work. Then again, its probably because the players didn't execute!

And for ****'s sake stop saying that the RBs aren't blocking. Blocking is a tertiary responsibility—at MOST—behind catching passes and—oh, what is that? I forget...ah...RUNNING. Like, more than 3 carries in the second half. The players didn't call that bull****, Mike Sherman did.

There's not a single Running Back in the Hall of Fame for his ****ing BLOCKING. Nobody ever says, "Oh, that Barry Sanders—what a blocker!"
