Sherman Fired

totally on point, if with the epic failure once again of this year......along with all the others Ireland still gets a pass, now you have to wonder if Ross and him just don't have a sick, pathologic relationship.........there is no logic to keep this guy as GM. And he is such a dis ingenous guy that as opposed to resigning he continues to hand on to his job with Dolphins and systemitacilly destry them.

It's about time. I hope they also fire the O-Line coach and QB coach as well. I'd even fire Coyle too; not sure he is cut out for a DC.

Philbin is a coward.

Come on, Hayden. I wanted a clean sweep, too.

But do you think Sherman didn't fall on his sword here? It was basically public record that Philbin was issued an ultimatum on Sherman. Mike had to know. And especially if he thinks he can save his son-in-law's job by taking the bullet? It sounds like Zac Taylor might be safe. If Zac comes back... I think it's clear what happened.

Interesting, wasn't aware that that was the same offense. How come our offense and Houston's look so much different? From what I've seen they run so much more PA, more crossing routes, more bootlegs.

Is it just because we can't run the ball?

Well when we actually tried to run the ball, we weren't terrible (we did average over 4.1 ypc). Big thing was the lack of zone blocking OL, the other was lack of a second TE. Clay is used a lot like Owen Daniels was when he was younger, but they always had a reliable second TE whether it was Joel Dressen, Garrett Graham, or James Casey. We also didn't have a pure blocking FB like the Texans did (Vontae LEach, Lawrence Vickers, ect).

I know for a fact that wasn't a Joe Philbin style offense. Even if he didn't call plays, there are huge differences between what he did and what Clements does.

Ill Bet Michael Egnew is laughing his ass off right now...

LOL, no doubt. Plus, thanks to Dan Campbell, I think Egnew is gonna really come into his own next year and surprise a few people.

If I were an offensive coach, I'd be licking my lips at the prospect of working with Miami.

Young QB with massive potential and Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Matthews and Clay. Sort the line out and get a genuine seam TE and it's good to go. Most of the main pieces are already there.

I would imagine this puts all Dolphins coaches on notice. They all will doing the best they can possibly do next year.

Why they weren't before? Then fire them all.

oh and if Zac Taylor keeps his job it's because of Ryan Tannehill and Matt Moore. Both are very close with Ross and both are very close to Taylor.

His WPA was going down the tubes this season. He didn't make all the right calls "Like a Boss"... If you know what I mean.
