Sherman is 'Running' the team

Sherman is running the offense. Not the team. This is absolute crap.

This is the same offense run by Ryan Tannehill at aTm. Chambers is correct in Philbin being hands off and it is going to bite him in the ass in the long run.

So what? Philbin probably hired Sherman for a reason, maybe he liked the offense Sherman was running for the most part? You know its probably pretty common for head coaches to hire coordinators with the foundation they like, do you think a head coach would hire Rex Ryan and force him to play a 4-3 bend but don't break style defense?

And Sherman is quoted as saying Philbin told him to stop running so much into pass friendly defenses which proves 2 things: 1. Philbin is involved in the offense, its not exactly what Sherman would like to run. 2. Sherman does not "run" Philbin.

Cmon guys.. Does Philbin REALLY look like a leader?

Can't you guys tell that his demeanor doesn't represent the leadership needed at this level. Dungy, while similar in style, carried a greater sense of confidence and certainty.

Philbin should never have been given a head coaching opportunity. He only got one because Green Bay won a championship. One we learned he didn't necessarily orchestrate.

The fact that third rumor even EXISTS should shove Philbin right out the door.

Well an actual writer said Philbin wanted Incognito cut and was denied, so what does that tell you?

I could be a jerk and say that Sherman told Joe to cut him, but I won't. However, Joe placed a high value on character guys early on in his coaching tenure. However, this example you highlight does not disprove Beasley's quote either.

Keep trying to convince yourself that Joe Phlbin is the guy.

Belichick doesn't carry a playsheet either so he must be.

Never said a play sheet determines who is running the team.

so the moral of the story is say enough negative things and eventually you'll get a thing or 2 right. Glad I learned something today.

Is an HC supposed to be an OC or a DC? I'm confused.

A head coach is supposed to be a manager. Not like in college, or
high school.

A head coaches responsibility is not just a manager. He is supposed to run the team from players to coordinators. He should have the right and power (and frequently use it) to override any decision made on and off the field concerning the football team throughout the season.

Joe Philbin reminds me of Wade Phillips when he was head coach at the Cowboys. Jerry Jones and the Coordinators made the decisions and Wade was along for the ride. A coach fit to be a part of the cheerleaders during the game.

Great leaders do not have comments made about them like this. Joe Philbin was a bad decision back in 2012 and it is being proven now.

He will stick for this season when it is over.

compounding the problem.

After a disappointing ending to the season, it easy for some of you to just automatically believe any piece of negative hearsay that comes from any unverifiable 3rd party "source" because it fits your agenda, but I cant really blame the media from writing this kind of **** because you flies are just waiting to eat up any bull**** they feed you.

At this point, outside of continuity, what is so vital about bringing Joe back?

Not saying it is true or not, but just that it sounds believable is an indictment in itself.

There isn't and I would be happy to see him go. However retaining Ireland would have far the more detrimental effect on this team.

I think that is why a house cleaning....which won't happen....should.

Philbin is a candy ass. A pansy. In his pressers he tries hard to come off as firm and confident, but it just looks stupid. Like he's putting on an act written from a script that Aponte wrote for him.

He uses cue cards? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Players are supposed to take him seriously when he can't even relate to them? He can't genuinely say something real to these guys without rehearsing it?

TEAMS TAKE ON THE PERSONALITY OF THEIR HEAD COACH.

There is no wonder why we caved down the stretch.

Good point....who comes up with that if it is not true. It is quite a yarn someone has spun if it is not true.
