Sherman is 'Running' the team

These Miami Dolphins are hilarious!

Anybody know if they've got some sort of sketch comedy show?

Didn't you notice how philbin never has a playsheet in his hands when the offense is on the field? Means he has no input or chooses to leave the playcalling entirely up to Sherman.

he doesnt need a play sheet. those are usually just down and distance calls based on the looks they expect from the defense in those situations. they both know this offense like the back of their hand. verbal comm through a headset is all they need.

Josh McDaniels is ACTUALLY running the Pats.

And for those of you who are questioning this just remember back to Hard Knocks, many of us wrote that it seemed like Sherman was running the team back then.

You spelled ruining wrong!

I'll tell you what, if by God's chance the Sherman stays, he better change up is philosophy. run first!!!

Please for the love of football gods clean house and start anew, we will be more understanding with a whole new staff then keeping these clowns for another year.

I'm comfortable with changing a few responsibilities but if Sherman is actually in charge, then this stinks. No wonder the playcalling was so predictable and boring. Sherman was probably coaching his young son in law Zac Taylor to learn on the job playcalling.
Next question - if Sherman was effectively in charge, was Joe coerced to pay him from his own money? ie was it just power or was it power and a shakedown? It will be interesting to see if Mike just happens to be paid way above market rate.
Maybe Ireland is leaking to cause trouble, but if this is true, then it stinks. I'm mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.

Sounds like rumor. What if you are being fed bull****, and consuming it like a dupe?

I'm not saying you ARE, but, what if?

It very well could be a rumor. Unfortunately it's going to be very hard to find out what's what. I doubt if Ross does fire everyone he will say exactly why, let alone say Sherman was running the team. But the track record for ridiculousness in Miami in recent years is strong and this would fit right in

Philbin: Thanks for coming in Mike. As you know, Mr. Ross is looking to make some changes and...

Sherman: No

Philbin: I understand that this is uncomfortable, Sherman. I really do. Hell, it is for me too. But...

Sherman: No

Philbin: C'mon mike. Technically speaking, I am the head coach and if I am going to keep this job, I have to let...

Sherman: No

Philbin: ...No?

Sherman: No

Philbin: ...

Sherman: ...

Philbin: Hello, Mr. Ross?

Ross: Yes, Joe?

Philbin: No
