sigh...Tim Tebow

So is it wishful thinking to believe that Cam will ever throw more touchdowns that interceptions? If so why do you believe so?

Cam Newton? No. Why would it be? Cam Newton is a very good passer, and was in college as well. Tim Tebow is the worst passer I have ever seen. He might get better, but it won't be good enough. Not nearly good enough actually.

Cams int problem is because he needs to get better mentally. That part will come with playing time and film work. He hasn't even had an offseason and never really played in an offense that required much of it to begin with. I doubted the guy big time. I am the first to say I was wrong. He has a cannon, can make touch throws, and is a hell of a lot more accurate than I thought he would be. I can't say any of that about Tebow. Throwing a football is a god given ability when talking about a NFL passer. Then you need the mind. Tebow has a lot of intangibles but throwing the rock is not one.

So let me get this straight. Tebow is "the worst passer" you have ever seen. Yet he has thrown 7 touchdowns to 1 interception. Matt Moore who i rate pretty highly as a passer has only 7 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. Yet Tebow is the worst passer you've ever seen? Matt Moore has started 28 games as a Quarterback in the NFL, yet he has only thrown for 300 yds once. Tebow has only started 8 Games yet has already Thrown for over 300 yds. but he's the worst passer you've ever seen?

Blaine Gabbert has started 9 NFL games and has a record of 2-7 as a starter. He has thrown 6 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. Has never thrown for more than 250 yds and has a QB rating of 64.4.

Tim Tebow is 5-3 as a starter. Thrown 12 Touch downs (not counting his rush touchdowns) with 4 interceptions and has a QB rating of 79.8.

So Tebow in less starts has twice as many touchdowns and 1 less interception. If i were to ask you to choose one of these quarterbacks which one would you choose?

The arguments that Tim will develop into a proficient NFL passer are some of the worst arguments I have ever heard. No one drafts a skills position player without the skills to play the position. You know what happens to fast guys that can't catch? They play defense. You know what happens when you have a RB that can't run? He's a Fullback. What happens when you have a QB that can't pass? Apparently, you revert to a simpler option based running offense and play 1950's football. He's way behind the curve passing the ball and the time it will take to get him up to speed could have been spent on someone who already has the ability he hopes to develop. His deficiencies as a passer is not only stifling his own development as an NFL player, but the players around him. How are his WR's suppose to get better getting 8 passes a game? For every "great" throw Tim has made, I've seen 3 that sailed over peoples heads, hit the ground 5 yards short, or is so wide that it's actually helping him keep his INT numbers down. He's missing players by such a large margin, not even the defense has a chance to get to the ball.

Why all this faith in cam? What is you're assurance that he will get better that's my point. What has Cam shown you outside of his physical abilities that make you believe that he will become better mentally? Quite often the mental aspect of the game and smarts are the hardest thing for a quarterback to learn. If a guy works hard enough he can improve and i believe in Tebow's work ethic. I've been analyzing Tebows throws and you know what? I think and i'm not alone on this, that the reason he throws the way he does is to avoid interceptions. Look at the game against the Jets. The most pivotal play of the game was the pick 6. Tebow throws where the defender can't catch it. unfortunately his receivers can't catch it either lol. I believe in the kid, an i would LOVE to have him on the Dolphins.

So how do you explain 308 yds against a legitimate NFL team? Can anyone throw 300 yds against an NFL defense? Was it a fluke?

because tebow arm sucks compared to cam newton and gabbert. check out carolinas wideouts stats and broncos wideouts stats. The only difference is tebow has a defense that can save his a@*

Yeah, cause it's his defense leading 95 yd drives to win games against one of the best defense in a league. Get a clue

When this is all over and done...he will be one of the best TE's in the league.

I could do a dump off pass to a RB and get 50 yards out of it. Does that make me a good QB? No. Of course your INT ratio is going to be low when you only complete 8 passes.

There are plenty of bad QBs who pass for 300 yards like AJ Feely did against New Orleans. Does that make him good? Maybe we should go after him too.

Using this logic, there are plenty of bad QBs who pass for 300 yards like AJ Feely did against New Orleans. Does that make him good? Maybe we should go after him too. Henne had several 300 yard games. With more practice, I'm sure Henne could be a franchise QB too.

Tell that to the guy who posted the scenario.

My point is that QBs have good games once in a while. You could look at someone stats without knowing them and say, "hey! This guy is great!" In reality, he's a terrible guy who had a good game.

Tebow was good QB in college, but a NFL QB he is not. Practice can't make up for natural talent. You can only get so far. There is a reason why so many QBs in the NFL fail. Practice doesn't make every QB good.
