sigh...Tim Tebow

So let me get this straight. Tebow is "the worst passer" you have ever seen. Yet he has thrown 7 touchdowns to 1 interception. Matt Moore who i rate pretty highly as a passer has only 7 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. Yet Tebow is the worst passer you've ever seen? Matt Moore has started 28 games as a Quarterback in the NFL, yet he has only thrown for 300 yds once. Tebow has only started 8 Games yet has already Thrown for over 300 yds. but he's the worst passer you've ever seen?

Blaine Gabbert has started 9 NFL games and has a record of 2-7 as a starter. He has thrown 6 touchdowns to 5 interceptions. Has never thrown for more than 250 yds and has a QB rating of 64.4.

Tim Tebow is 5-3 as a starter. Thrown 12 Touch downs (not counting his rush touchdowns) with 4 interceptions and has a QB rating of 79.8.

So Tebow in less starts has twice as many touchdowns and 1 less interception. If i were to ask you to choose one of these quarterbacks which one would you choose?

I don't care what the stats say. I've watched him play, and he really can't throw worth a ****. You want to bring up his stats, he's dead last in completion percentage. And who cares that he threw for over 300 yards against the worst pass defense in in the NFL. The Broncos are running a high school offense right now because Tebow is incapable of playing in a regular offense. That won't work for long and I damn sure don't want to have to run a high school offense here in Miami.

The funny thing about Tebow is that he completed 66.4% of his passes in college. Granted, it was college and the ball is different, and he had a sick team around him. His numbers declined from his sophmore year to his senior year as the talent declined on the team.

Once they started tinkering with his throwing motion he went downhill. I think messing with his throwing motion ****ed up his mentality when he drops back to pass. Instead of focusing on the pass, he focuses on the mechanics. At this point he's gone to far with his new throwing motion to go back to the old one, but he's not far along enough with his new throwing motion to be successful as a true QB.

Now, I despised Tebow in college as much as I despise Brady now. I loved the moments he cried when they lost and when he got his *** handed to him, but the man is a beast when it comes down to pure heart and determination. If anyone can fix horrible throwing mechanics and footwork it would be him. That being said, accuracy can't be taught. It can be improved through hard work. Tebow has been working on that accuracy from the day he stepped into the NFL and it has only decreased.

Yes, if he can fix his accuracy and third down throwing he can be a good QB in the NFL. But that remains a big if. Gimmicks in the NFL only get you so far.

Tebow had his best statistical day against a horrible texans defense last year. Since This is his only saving grace as a QB in the league, let's pick it apart. He had 3 check downs or screen plays for 20+ yards. He lobbed up a 40 yard prayer to brandon lloyd you can watch here: http://www.nfl.com/videos/auto/0900...yd-makes-a-great-leaping-catch-from-Tim-Tebow

Yes the loser defending lloyd was Jason Allen. Those 4 plays made up 110 yards. If you take out the huge gains from the checkdown and the catch that is more brandon lloyds doing than tebow, he's the same sub 200 yards, 50% passer. I'll credit him for making 2 big throws in that game (bomb to gafney and a throw on the run). Here's a short youtube clip of the highlighted downfield throws he completed in the game (I think i counted 6 throws).

If you look closely, you'll notice every other pass was completed to a WR who was standing still in the softest zone coverage I've ever seen. So yes, if a WR was standing still and no one is around him, Tebow can make that throw.

Here's a clip of tebow against the chargers that same year:

Terrible.

Al I will say is:
9-20 104 yds 5.2 yds per
2-8 69 yds 8.63 yds per
10-21 124 yds 5.91 yds per
18-39 172 yds 4.41 yds per
13-27 161 yds 5.96 yds per

I don't care that the dude has not thrown many picks. All that says is he throws the ball away. I, for one, prefer my qb to get more yds per a completion than a good RB running the ball. Tebow is an awful PASSINg qb plain and simple. His throwing motion is awful, his ability to make plays is ONLY running the ball. His mechanics suck and if you listen to coaches....it is impossible to change a qbs mechanics at this level. Cam Newton can actually complete a pass over 6 yds. Tebow can't!

Seriously? I didn't even know it was possible to win a game having a qb complete 2-8 passes. tebow should be playing in the 1940's!lol

Tebow will fade just like the wildcat did. It was a surprise the first year and the hype built up but the next year, every defense had a game plan and it faded out quick

Anybody who needs to get so much better as a passer that his team can't run a passing offense because of him is probably never going to be a good enough passer to succeed in the NFL.

You are making the same mistake that many of the biased analysts are making. they look at Tebow now and assert that he can't get better. Why not? Will cam ever stop throwing more interceptions than Touchdowns? Will Blaine Gabbert ever throw above 50 percent in his career? Why aren't those questions being asked of those guys? why is Tebow the only only one who is doomed to remain stagnant as a player? why do we think they will get better and he can't?

Sure he can improve. He can't get much worse throwing a football

I know this is not gonna be received well, but i'm gonna say it anyway. I believe that IF the top quarterback prospects in the draft are gone before our pic and IF we decide to keep Matt Moore as our starter and IF John Elway is DUMB enough to give up on Tim Tebow, the Dolphins should pick him up if he's cut. I BELIEVE in this kid and think he will get better as a passer. I'm not saying he should be out starting Quarterback, but rather have him run special packages like the wild cat formation, as well as in the shot gun with Moore. I think they could be a deadly duo and give the defense something to think about. BRING IT!.:ninja:

Elway would just never cut him. Regardless....no.

I can't stand some Miami people here because of this, I don't know how to explain it but they always have a thing for **** talent, they rave on that **** talent as if it's the greatest thing they ever seen. I remember how many citizens here in Miami kept talking about how Tebow will be the next Brady and **** like that, it's like are you even educated about football? The guy is a fullback playing quarterback, what the hell have you seen from him that makes you think he will ever have a successful NFL career?

People here did the same thing for Ken Dorsey too. I just don't get why people go crazy for a system quarterback in college.

Its amazing how about half the people watch & talk football ALOT ... but in their mind it all kinda functions in a dream world.

My favorite are those Sanchez vs. Stiff-Of-The-Day threads ... you can ask how they can differentiate between turd-snifting ... they don't even answer & go right about their dreamy-business. Begs the question, why aren't THEY filling up the stadium with those rosey outlooks?? ... maybe Reality gets in their way??

Just watch, it will happen here too!!
