So tired of reading on here about how we are good at WR

We can build our O-line with later draft picks and players from camp cuts....

That is what we did last year and the year before that and it got us killed.

We could have Calvin Johnson on this team and it won't matter if Tannehill doesn't have time to throw the ball.

We have solid WR's, not sure why the fuss?

Watkins and Evans IMO are nothing special. Sure, the best WR's in the draft but OP making them sound as like CJ 2.0 or the second coming of Michael Irvin.

:bobdole:

Fix the damn O-line, give Tannehill time to throw. Wallace destroys everyone deep and opens up the field for Gibson and Hartline to do work.

The fact that you think Watkins isn't a special talent is absurd.

Im tired of reading on here about how we are good at QB. Im also tired of drafting cornfed. There is plenty of decent corn to be had in later rounds. There was plenty of adequate corn to go around in FA as well. The wise thing to do wouldve been signing several guys at lower contracts than spending it all on LT. Good luck building a line that way.

Im tired of mediocrity as well. And you are correct, its a passing league. In order to pass the ball more effectively, it isnt a WR we need, its a QB who can deliver the ball downfield to guys who we already have that are wide open.

I agree we could use another weapon. I would rather a big red zone target than another wr. our wr corps is good overall, not great but good enough.
That is why is someone special at TE like Ebron falls, we should draft him

We need one more weapon either TE or HB. It doesn't have to be a WR. Assuming Hartline and Gibson get healthy we are good at WR. I say get an OT and a HB to rotate with Miller. I bet we go OT, TE, or LB with the first round. The o-line was crap at run and pass blocking so I say OT.

His deep ball is one of the better deep balls to players not named wallace. Tannehill and Wallace never got on the same page and what made wallace get so open is also what made tannehill struggle, his speed. Tannehill was never able to estimate how fast Wallace was and throw the deep ball accordingly. Hopefully another full offseason together will fix this. Tannehill can throw the deep ball but just needs chemistry with Wallace, oh and tannehill being drilled everytime doesn't help either. This thread s be deleted though, it's pretty laughable. We have two wr capable of 1k yards followed by another 2 that are prolly good for 600 a piece along with a tight end who is good for another 600. Miller can also be a receiving threat if we can ever get an oline to set up the screen properly. I don't know the draft too well but only position in the first that I'd be ok with is a complete tight end because he can help with the rookie right tackle. I'm talking a Jason witten type, great at blocking and pass catching, not a one trick pony like ebron

This is all fabricated nonsense.

Show me the deep balls Tannehill has hit to other WRs. Good luck finding more than a couple.

Also, it was chronicled all the way back to his college days that Tannehill struggles over the middle of the field, even in the intermediate range. The addition of a seem busting TE wont help unless the QB can deliver the ball down the seems.

Tannehill throws a nice ball to the sidelines, especially in the 5-15 yard range. Deep down the sidelines, 30 yards or more, he is horrid. He also struggles with throws over the middle that go beyond 15 yards or so.

Im just wondering how much did Tannenhill play in college? Plus 2 yrs with phins! Not alot of playing time if you ask me. Give the guy a break! His offensive line has been crap the last 2 yrs! He is getting better. But you probably need eyes checked. Especially when I see you have that loser Saban as avatar! And a decent tight end can help in many ways. Blocking is one of them getting open for a short pass is another!

Firm believer that you are kinda of just born with an ability to throw a good deep ball, please don't take that too literally. Tannehill has missed deep balls that 90% of the backups in this league could make on a regular basis. I like Tannehill too but the fact that he hasn't seemed to improve his deep ball since college is disconcerting to say the least.

And if read my post correctly I pointed out the kid hasn't played much ball in college or as a pro! And throwing a deep ball may not be as easy as you make it sound as dbacks are right there most of the time when ball is aired out. Add to it he probably hasn't clicked or gotten timing down with Wallace! Then you add in that his o lines have been horrendous! I doubt Manning would do much better under those circumstances!
