Hey, but saved money on his car insurance by switching to GEICO. That is a positive on par with his wife being in the hospital...:shakeno: :shakeno:Jeep said:I am gonna be a bit dramatic.. but I think you'll get my point..
Car crash.. the car is totalled, the wife is in the hospital, you got two cracked ribs.. but the tires are in good shape, the radio still bumps and 1/2 of the back seat is in GREAT shape!!!!
What good is looking for the positives if you cant drive the car?

It has made it exciting because they are always competitive but always just not quite good enough.
They have with out a doubt had their share of bad luck over the years, but great teams find a way to overcome bad luck. Hopefully we don't have to deal with a 3-13 season before we get to see the SB trophy brought to Miami, but it may eventually what might be needed. Hopfully not.
I think regardless of what happens this season they have a great team to build upon next season, but lets not be Chargers fans and start talking about next season after week 1.![]()
Every team has a rebuilding year after every season. That is how the league is set up now.DolFan31 said:I agree but the problem is, if you have one down season by rebuilding, you risk having one down year after another if the pieces dont fit right. Look at the Cards, Bengals, and Chargers. Id rather be competitive every year with having a good chance at winning the SB, or being bad each year because we tried to rebuild and it didnt work out right. But thats just me. But you know the rebuilding is going to come, once 1/2 of our D retires or moves on.

I for one love having a reason to root for my team until at least week 17, We have been spoiled over the years, look at the Lions, Chargers, Cards, and other teams whose season is already over after week 5. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to just be watching a game for the hell of it once week 6 came.
I think that is why the Fins have so many fans of other teams that hate them.

Maybe, just maybe, before all you homers jump me and others for being "negative" and calling us "bad fans", maybe it has nothing to do with being a fan of the Fins. It has to do with being a fan of the game and knowing the game well enough to be objective and see the trouble. As of game one everything I said:
-Wanny shold have been fired
-Fiedler is not the answer and should have been cut.
-AJ is better, but unproven and green because he has only been a backup
-Gordon may be okay but he is not dominant.
-This team failed to improve its primary needs for two years running, QB and OLine
- And Wanny was making a huge mistake by not naming starters because they could not get any cohesion.
And all through it I stressed that I AM a fan and I just want the team to be successful. What I saw today (I was there...thanks Phinphreak!) was one of the most embarrassing Dolphin teams ever.
I do like AJ better than Fiedler. But if this line doesn't block better, and we can't run then it will be irrelelvant. Because it takes a special QB to carry a team. AJ may be decent, but he is not special.
Lets hope this is the bottom and it goes up from here. I wonder if any of you homers (you know who you are!) are man enough to show up and say "we were wrong!" :shakeno:
God please let this team find itself.
Please, show relevant rebuilding years in recent Dolphin history.MikeO said:Every team has a rebuilding year after every season. That is how the league is set up now.
Carolina sucked for a bunch of years, then overnight they are in the Super Bowl. NE had a SB year, a .500 or so year, then another Super Bowl year with a new cast for the msot part.
EVERY year is a rebuilding year in this league. It's a league dominated by coaches. No other league is coaching more important.
