Some of you guys make me laugh.....

Watching you go through the same process, almost exactly, that got you banned from thephins, apparently without learning one iota from that experience, is curious indeed. Maybe on the intelligence scale that you've referred to more than once, indirectly and snidely insulting posters left and right, you're more a part of the lower 50% than you think :)
I'd encourage you to find, on either message board, just one personal attack of another person by me, in a thread in which I'm personally attacked repeatedly by many.

Why were you banned?

I'd rather uphold the decency and peace of the forum at the risk of its falling on deaf ears than resort to personal comments or attacks in the attempt to change others' behavior, while fundamentally changing the tenor of the forum in the process.

From whom did you borrow that high horse? Do you live in a house with no mirrors?

I think you're confusing high horse with high ground. :)

I didn't figure you could. :)

No. You create redundant thread after redundant thread after redundant thread. I have to think that if a poll were conducted, you'd be in the running for "most annoying." That wouldn't be so bad if you had no idea you were annoying, but I'm pretty sure you do, and I'm pretty sure it motivates you.

I think you and others bear the responsibility for your own feelings, whether they be annoyance or whatever else they are, and like I've said in this thread, there are multiple ways of handling that in the event you find yourself in such a place emotionally.

Why should I put forth the time and effort to do the research? Regardless, what I recall isn't you directly attacking other posters per se, it was being truly annoying to others to the point that you were generally detested, and also finding different ways to continue tired and beaten arguments when the moderators directly told you to put a sock in it, because most posters over there couldn't stand you anymore. And of course, you made it seem as if you took pleasure in becoming an aggravation and a problem. The question still stands- why were you banned from thephins, what were the exact reasons given?

You really have no gift for self-reflection.

The way I handle your annoying presence is to not take part in your threads on any regular basis. Most of the time, if I see your name as the author of a thread, I don't even bother to open it because I, and just about everyone here, already know what's in it ...usually some variance of what was in the last thread you started, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that, and the one before that.

Oh, and the one before that one too.

I endorse that approach wholeheartedly, both for you and for anyone else who feels similarly. :)

You're on ignore "jim1," now and forever. :)

This is symptomatic of another particular Gravity/Shouright trait- whenever he couldn't or didn't want to answer a good, direct question, he'd just conspicuously ignore it. Case in point on this site- not that long ago a poster with solid, real world statistics knowledge and experience asked him some very good questions about his data and methodology- "Gravity" folded like a cheap tent. Just said bye, I'm done with this thread. He couldn't handle it when he came across someone with actual, real world knowledge of statistics who questioned him, it was out of his comfort zone. He'd rather challenge posters who aren't statisticians to beat him at his own game, only through statistics, when making nonsensical, ignorant and annoying claims.

Case in point- his claim that there is almost no value in the Wide Receiver position- it's all about the QB, WRs are almost completely interchangeable, hardly worth drafting. Don't agree? Then prove it- with stats and stats alone. And he bails like petulant child when he's actually questioned by a poster with actual experience in statistics. That is what is so pathetic- he's playing a game, and a good part of that game for him is aggravating the piss out of other posters by starting questionable and aggravating threads. Just look at his thread history here and at thephins. Then running like a baby when an actual statistician calls him out, pathetic.
