Something brewing with JT?

I don't stand corrected .he hired philbin. He rehired sparano. He rehired Ireland. I stand corrected only if you can prove these were good hires that outweigh the bad and you can't. Nice try though. Funny how you give him so much credit for hiring a gm after the people he really wanted declined. He may accidently be right lol.

Funny how everyone liked the Philbin hire, Hickey hire. Woulda coulda shoulda. He's learning what works and doesn't work as an owner. Now he's putting people in place in the front office that can offer him advice. I think it's hysterical that you think you're smarter than a self made billionaire. My point is he's trying to find what works and he's not standing pat.

He was traded to Washington. Should he have retired instead of played for the team Miami dictated he play for?

He wanted the trade after Parcells called him out for wearing a tutu instead of football pads.

Jason Taylor has done far more for the Dolphins and the community of South Florida than Bill Parcells could ever dream of. The fact that Parcells ran him out of town twice is not an indictment of JT.

It's yet one more piece of evidence in the "Bill Parcells is a big fat piece of ****" file.

Do you even read the board? Most people did NOT like the Hickey hire and half the people would have booted Philbin to curb last year.

Looks like you don't read. When he was hired everyone here was sucking him off. No one is talking about wanting his head now, that's obvious Einstein. If you are gonna jump in on an argument get it right first. Of course no one wants him here anymore, totally not the point of the convo. Sheesh

JT left the Dolphins after 1-15 for the Redskins only to come crawling back after 11-5 and then ditched us again for the Jets. **** Jason Traitor.

everyone did not like those hires Im not sure where you are getting that from. So because he is a billionaire he is automatically smarter than anyone else. So I guess the same goes for basically every owner.
Also on record I never said I was smarter than anyone, but being in the billionaire's boy club known as the NFL does not make one a genius. If I needed someone to help me make money off of subsidized government housing Stephen Ross would be my first contact.
The smartest man is always the richest my bad. Why do any of us ever disagree with anything a dolphin owner does if that the basis of your argument.

It doesn't matter. You can have as many famous ex-players as you want having some nebulous role within the organization, and that's fine. It's great that Ross is getting some advice from guys who care and maybe know a thing or two about football.

But we're still stuck with 13 games of Joe Philbin, Ryan Tannehill, and the rest of these clowns. So what is JT going to do for us now? Unless you told me that Joe Philbin is getting canned and JT is going to become the interim coach, I just don't care.

And before you tell me that bringing in some random former player to be the new coach would be a total disaster, answer this for me: what does Joe Philbin actually do? Kevin Coyle runs the defense. Rizzi runs special teams. Lazor has full control of the offense. What does Joe Philbin actually do, besides mismanage the game?

So, yeah. Unless you're going to make some insane move like that, I just don't care. Whoop dee doo, another guy to whisper in Ross's ear that the football team sucks.

He picks up gum wrappers, makes sure shoes are tied, and picks defers all real decisions to Dawn Aponte. Sorry that is WAY over JT's head....lol

Having players like Marino and Taylor creates a certain environment. As former players they probably have more drive to build a winning team.

If that were so true the Charlotte Hornets would have a championship by now

.

Dude, come on already, reality check here. He didn't win his billions from some Mega millions lottery, he worked for it and works currently. I think it's safe to say he's smarter than two shmucks arguing it out on a Fins forum.

My argument from the beginning before it got off track was just because you or I don't agree with his moves doesn't mean he doesn't care about this franchise, I think he's passionate about it, he's just finding his way on how to get the right people in place to run it, and he's smart enough to know he can't make the football decisions hence the hiring of Marino and others, hence making football decisions. Whether the new management team makes it successful, we don't know yet. But don't think for once he's gonna keep Joe around unless he pulls out at least 10 wins. I think he learned his lesson from the Ireland fiasco.
