Sources: Ireland suggested that Martin confront Incognito physically

I am really getting fed up with all this moral outrage.

Wouldn't Mike Ditka have said the EXACT same thing?

or Don Shula?

or Bill Walsh?

or Vince Lombardi?

or Tom Caughlin?

Just who exactly is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO morally offended by this suggestion who is actually involved in professional Football or ANY PROFESSIONAL Sport?

I dont see whats so wrong with this....a punch to the nose would've been an excellent way to handle it....its football for crying out loud it's a brutal sport

Well if there is one thing we can all agree on at this point.

Shots over the bow are going to be taken daily.

I expect more **** to come out from both sides.

Let's not draw any conclusions.

It is inappropriate for a person in his position to suggest. I understand it is a sports franchise, but as one of the top executives in an organization you cannot suggest hitting another person.

Think about how bad this would be if Martin does hit Incognito on Ireland's suggestion and in the process causes damage that forces RI to miss games.

Martin camp is all in now. They are going down with their ship. It turns out that Richie of all people is guilty of nothing more than being a dunce. Next step: kill Ireland. If that fails, go after the coaches.

Well at one time Bear Bryant felt black players were not as athletically gifted as white players and at the time Im sure there was no moral outrage among the vocal majority
At one point in time many things were acceptable as norms by society but those are everchanging. Im not sure anyone has to play a professional sport to say what they think is morally wrong.

The credulity of much of the press is amazing. Anyone with a bit of deductive reasoning skills can tell that Ireland (as well as everyone else on the team, to a man) was surprised that Martin decided to leave the team. The agent calls right before that, who levels this "bullying" charge, that he clearly plans on floating to the national press. Ireland, just as everyone else on the team, thinks the charge is ridiculous and says, if Martin is really having a problem with it, he should confront Incognito physically, which happens, ALL OF THE TIME, in practices.

According to the timeline in the repoyrting, the call was placed AFTER Martin's freakout in the cafeteria.

I have no clue if Ireland said that but if he did he should be fired and has no place as an executive of our team.

I have raged against Ireland for over three years now on this very forum... But these 'allegations' and let's be clear here... 'Alleged' comments are the lowest of the low...

Honestly I am actually inclined to believe that they are not true simply because I find it almost impossible that a man could be so UNBELIEVABLY STUPID. After his involvement in the Dez Bryant... The fan and even the Harbaugh scandals it is INCREDULOUS that he could not have learned a single thing from any of them... Or have even the smallest amount of respect for his job or authority or 'professionalism'.

If this has even an inkling of truth... and these latest allegations of coaches ordering a 'code red' or Ireland tacitly IGNORING a player's plea for help... The LEAGUE will come down on this franchise like a hammer on an anvil. Especially AFTER Bountygate... Really is it possible that one man could be so negligent???

He might deserve to be fired, but not because of that, even if it is true.

Right, but the article says "before Martin left the team".
