Stephen Ross Presser 11/11

hey guys my math might be off but I'd swear SR said he'd taken 4 steps already, but only spoke to 3? (called JM, called NFL, meeting JM 11/13).

not mentioning JI... was his head cut #4?

clown owner

He is a brilliant businessman who began his career as a tax attorney and then got into property development. He is worth over $4.8 billion (ie $4800 million) and is a self made man.
He bought the Dolphins because he enjoys football and had the resources to do it. Comments that you see him as a clown disgust me. He appears to be a good man with good intentions, who is doing all he can to make our team successful. We should be thankful to have such a good owner.

Sorry, I don't care how much money he has or how he made it, every time I see him speak he looks like a clown.

It figures he made his money in inanimate things, because he sure as heck doesn't know how to relate to people.

He's not a public speaker, public speaking isn't easy at all.

And how well he speaks at the podium doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is the quotes that people will read. Everything he did and said on that podium made sense, I thought he did a great job. He addressed every issue he needed to, to put closure to this, until Martin decides to finally end this for good.

Some of you just need a reason to bash the dolphins for no reason, to which I ask, why are you even still Mia fans?

of the 32, which owner stands out to the world? jerry right?!! that's the way the other 31 like it. they'd rather sit back and let jerry jumbotron take the bright lite imbroglio. even BK tries to shy away from mics, and let Beli or Mr Bundchen do the talking. like most self-made billionaires, SR lets his $$$ talk. but every year, he's been forced to defend himself for sh** happening on someone's watch. guess who?

To become such a success in business, you can bet that he is skilled at people management or he has good people around him with those skills, that he listens to. He mightn't be as smooth a public speaker or hog the spotlight like Jerry Jones, but he doesn't have to be.
I respect your passion for the Dolphins. However, we agree to disagree re Stephen Ross. He will get to the bottom of the issue.

I am surprised noone asked him about covering up the Incognito golf course incident... He says we will not stand for bullying in the locker room, but I guess sexual harassment of female volunteers by players at team events is A-OK!

Incognito met with the NFL about that...sounds like they covered it up just as much as the dolphins did

Real estate is all about people, my friend. Steve Ross is, I believe, the most successful real estate developer in the history of the world. The Hudson Yards project that's currently underway in NYC is the biggest real estate project ever. This guy is no chump, even if he's done a bad job running the team.

He is a bad public speaker, but I would bet dollars to donuts he has it in 1on1s.

He needs to get rid of everyone...and not do this half-ass crap he did last time. Let the new GM pick the coach...or if you get a good coach...let him pick the GM...

I wouldn't be surprised if he's a great public speaker and just acts like that. Business in ny is like that, especially when your talking multiple billion $ real estate contracts.

Real estate development in ny isn't just business, it's major politics, major financing, and super cutthroat, and Ross is the top shark.

Nobody on earth who has good public speaking skills pretends to be a bad public speaker.

He is absolutely TERRIBLE when reading a prepared statement with the lights on him. But when he's giving back and forth, he's much better. My guess is that behind closed doors in back and forth negotiations, he is a totally different person. I find it impossible to believe he has spearheaded a $20,000,000,000 (yes, twenty BILLION) dollar real estate project that will pretty much transform a big part of New York City without the ability to command a small room.

Not seeing the live presser from the text it looks like Ross did a good job no? I am usually hard on him, but from what I read I like what he said!

if you couldnt see that ross is our problem from that interview then ya gotta be blind... he hired a board to advise him to not over react??? guide him on what you do??? they better tell his dumb ass to fire ireland... he is such a dumb ass i cant even stand it

I was more interested in Garfinkel. I know what I'm getting in Ross.

Garfinkel was more nervous than ideal, and he also referred awkwardly to notes on occasion. Otherwise he demonstrated some personality and ability to frame an argument. Certainly preferable to Mike Dee. Not bad for first time in a major spotlight with this franchise. Notice that nobody has ripped him in this thread. That's a major step forward considering the typical caliber of individual in our front office.
