Suggestion: Trade Lamar Miller for Chad Greenway

I'm not sure Chad Greenway is much better than Trusnik. He used to be a good player, but the past couple years has really declined.

I hope AP's not suspended long... he may have went overboard but it's clear he wasn't trying to be ABUSIVE. If he wasn't famous, it wouldn't be an issue.

I hope his career is over for what he did.

I'vs worked in the child welfare field for 10years, supporting families and children that have been victims of abuse and find comments like this extremely ignorant and oppressive... I realize this is your forum as well and u can speak your mind, but u may want to carefully think before posting a comment such as this. The child is a victim of abuse and to be indicted on child abuse charges the evidence has to be strong. A strong argument could be made that this as as bad or worse than the Rice situation. Either way the lasting effects of abuse and trauma suffered by children, women and families is horrendous, and cyclical... This behaviour and attitudes surrounding the behaviour needs to change. AP struck the child repeatedly with an object... That is intentional, and is abuse. And to be clear fame has nothing to do with his situation. These situations happen far too much on a daily basis. If you work in the field you know how insidious and how difficult it is to manage child a use and domestic violence. I can guarantee u as well that this is not the first time AP has abused his children, orRice had hit his wife... They just got caught

I worked with CINC during college. Some of those kids lacked discipline.

Here's a question. Does AP have a record of being a violent person? Any violent priors? Cookie cutter absolute s don't work in these situations.

Everyone on a football field is an injury risk. It's the NFL, former players are dying at 50. Lamar Miller is an injury risk, Damien Williams is an injury risk. I'm guessing you got my point.

Some are more injury risks than others. Miller doesn't have a history of injury like Knowshon. Just a month ago Moreno was battling a nagging injury

First off, he has not been suspended yet. He can't play this week because he is in Texas turning himself in. Secondly, regardless of whether he is famous or not, beating a 4 year old is a digusting act of cruelty, a crime that many non-famous people are arrested for daily. If he wasn't famous, he probably would have been reported sooner. Have you read the article of the damage he did to that innocent boy and the comments he texted to the boy's mother? He deserves to be thrown out the league. So many young children look up to these "men". Disgrace of a man to do that to a child, and the supporters of his actions are just as bad as he is. To say he wasn't trying to be abusive is ridiculous. He went outside, got a large stick, took off the leaves, and beat the crap out of that kid.

Get real.

Sadly you are correct it seems.

I cant even watch the football shows anymore. Unless it is about X's and O's, I turn it off. The NFL has become PC issues non stop. I long for the days when a famous player could thrown out of a place and NO ONE would ever hear about it. A time when the games were all about the games. I do not watch football to get the latest on politics. I watch political shows when I want to hear about politics. Keep my football separate please.

Anymore I just watch the games. I can not stand any of the pregame shows and most of the shows throughout the week. They are about everything except football. I do not need a few ex players to tell me who is a good player and who isnt. I watch the games and can form my own opinions. And I definitely do not need ex players telling me how I am supposed to feel about some political issue or criminal acts. Ray Lewis is the authority on these situations? REALLY? Get real.

Lack of discipline deserves a good beating? The pictures of his kid show he is a violent person.

You seen the pictures? Kid has bruises and lacerations. No excuse for what he did.

Of course he had bruises and lacerations. He got spanked with a switch. Bruises and lacerations heal. I suppose we can all start playing soccer in the USA and avoid bruises and lacerations for good. Ever seen a kid come off the field after a football game? He has bruises and lacerations often times. Should we ban football from all schools? It is so abusive to the children.

I got spanked with a switch MANY times as a child. In fact, I had to pick my own switch often times. If we were in the car on a trip somewhere, it was not uncommon for the car to be stopped along the road where I would have to get out and pick a switch. The end result was bruises and lacerations. There were a couple of times I can remember drops of blood trickling down onto my shoes and if I were barefoot or wearing sandals, I bet some got on the rug of the car. Big deal.

What was always worse than a switch was the old, worn, fly swatters. Those metal ends where the swatter part was attached could do some damage, especially after the swatter part became worn. Bruises and lacerations would result. I lived. I am glad my parents punished me swiftly when I exhibited behaviors that were not ones that would help me become a good man.

Lastly, we hear all of the bitching about fathers not being responsible for their children. Peterson was trying to be a good father and teach his child, but apparently he was doing it wrong? Make up your minds people.

Are u a parent? If so how do u discipline ur children? Beating them bruised and bloody ok? Cause that's what AP did. Either ur ok with this discipline, or u have no concept of the pain and trauma kids endure due to physical abuse

Ok. To be fair here, I have not seen the pictures or read the full detail. If this was just a harsh spanking, I have no issues with it. If the kid was nearly tortured, then that is different.

I just know I have read a couple of things and somehow a switch has become a "large tree branch", which is BS.

let's just discipline our kids with words and hugs and ice cream.

that'll teach em.

In all seriousness I was thinking about this the other night. I would wager that when AP's son turns about 18, and is asked about this, he wouldn't be half as uptight about his discipline as the media is going to be these next 48 hours. We have local police with tanks and heavy artillery weapons, meanwhile the media salivates at the chance to crucify an NFL athlete because he spanked his son too hard. I've never seenless NFL highlights and analysis on ESPN.

I'll reserve judgement until extent of injury is put out. If it has I haven't seen it. If bruising, scarring is visible I don't care how you were raised. There's no place for abuse in parenting whether poor or rich.
