Support for Incognito (Look at this board) explains why Martin was afraid to to talk.

Well then, maybe Martin is not cut out to be an NFL player. I am not condoning Incognito's actions, he seems like an immature jackass, but if Martin can't stand up for himself, maybe he is the one with the problem. I would never do anything I didn't want to do, and if I felt someone was going over the line with what they were saying to me I would say so or fight back verbally.

I don't disagree. What I do disagree with is people's knee jerk reactions to how they think it should have been handled when they haven't walked a day in his shoes and don't know the real story. Nothing he could have done would have worked out in his favor. Nothing.

I think people have this idea that you have to have some kind of right to belong in a locker room. This would include doing whatever the veterans want you to do. Bull****. Nobody should be forced to do anything. All that anyone should expect of someone is to show up and do their job. If someone doesn't want to be a part of the locker room bull**** (camaraderie if you want to call it that) then they shouldn't be forced. It's really that simple.

There is more public support from Dolphins player for Richie than there is for Martin. That probably explains why he was afraid to talk. Blaming the victim. Like blaming the rape victim. "Oh she shouldn't have been wearing that." "Oh he should have fought him." In my opinion, The Dolphins got off easy, Martin could have went postal and bought a gun and shot everyone. Though it seems more people in the locker room and on this board would have respected Martin more if he did bring a gun and threaten Incognito, but than we would also had posters calling Martin a thug. So in a no-win situation.

Richie Icognito said on radio last year that he took Tannehill's credit card & bought a jet ski. I honestly believe Icognito would've intentionally missed blocks if Tannehill wouldn't have bought him that Jetski.

It's this retarded mentality that is making this a bigger issue than it should be. This is not comparable to rape at all.

Nothing he could have done would have worked out in his favor.

Except for standing up for himself.

Incognito was totally in the wrong here, but at some point, Martin needs to realize that he's a grown ass man. We're not talking about 2 kids on a playground here. This is a 24 year old man who grew up in a privileged home, went to the best college in the west, for FREE, got drafted into the NFL in round two, makes several million dollars a year, is 6'5" and 310 lbs, and nobody expects him to stand up for himself?
I'm just having a really hard time feeling sorry for him.

Sorry he was not victimized enough to derserve this much attention and passion that he is looking for. Sorry, what he dealt with is not that bad to go no farther than Ig and himself.
