Support For Joe Philbin

If Philbin gets to 9-7 with that buffoon Ireland hanging off him like a 50 lb ball and chain then he's done a hell of a job. How can you say Ireland is hot garbage on one hand AND expect the coach to overcome it by winning a lot of games on the other?

As opposed to what? Letting him play on the team but making sure he's not a leader? The team voted him onto the leadership committee, J. Martin included.

Yes. He's not leadership material.

You're the one wanting to crucify him already.

That would be true if I had been in favor of Incognito being signed. I never was.

But if you look back at things I've posted, while I'm no Incog fan, I've also said that I blame Philbin for setting him up to fail. Incog is more in need of a role model than capable of being a role model. He's not someone you want young players looking up to nor emulating. That's not something new. That was his reputation long before he ever put on a Fins jersey. The Fins jersey didn't change him. He's the same stupid, out of control schmuck he's always been. With all that we know about Incog, that Philbin allowed him to be in a leadership role, is enough for me to question Philbin's judgment.

Im confused, whats with all this hatred towards Philbin? Its only his 2nd year as coach. What do you expect, a superbowl? Be patient. Cant keep switching up staff every 2 years, thats not going to help longterm.
I never had any respect for him as a man. I was hoping he would be at least a good Coach. But after that Buffalo debacle, I am convinced he is not a Coach either.

one game does it for ya huh? take a look around the league. take a good look. the margin of error is razor thin. We beat the Ravens and got shafted. We had NE and the officials called illegal touching....are u friggin kidding me?

Joe Philbin is not a bad coach. Fans like you dont ever understand long term because you see what you want to see and then never return to be seen again.

Joe Philbin is one of the worst game day coaches I can ever remember watching. The only one that compares to him in my mind is Randy Shannon in the area of game day ineptitude. Philbin has no idea how to run an NFL clock, he allows bizarre playcalling from Sherman and his team at times looks asleep at the wheel. This is what happens when you roll the dice on an obscure coach from the boondocks.

uh dude, you should check our two minute offense out. It does pretty good to win games and score before half. So the one play where we spiked it did it for ya huh? one play?

Hey, remember when you were excited about Jimmy Johnson, Dave Wannstedt, Nick Saban, Cam Cameron, and Tony Sparano?

The point here is some of you want him gone because of this fiasco. Then you try to point out "bad coaching" as the real reason. You backstabbers are all the same. Get a chance and in goes the knife. Win in Tbag Joe...that'll quiet them some.

And some were calling for him to go before this happened. Everyone will have their own reasons. Some will have multiple reasons. For some, the "fiasco" just reinforces what they already thought of him. Lots of people, lots of differing opinions. And all of them are as valid as your own.

How about a 2-6 record in the division? You like that?

Excited for Jimmy Johnson. Werent you?

Dave Wannstedt? Nobody was excited for that. Johnson cast off as I remember my opine on it. He did get Ricky here. ricky oh yeah, dont tell me you werent excited about that?

Nick Saban. Pretty good pick up on paper no?

Cam Cameron. It took me 3 games to say no. clueless wonder.

Sparano took us to 11-5 first season. What was not to get excited about for that? Long term. His last year was the year I said its his last year to prove something.

I'm just not a guy who will poo poo everything in site like alot of you on here do. Its always the same suspects too. You have no clue who you would want as HC let alone accept some reality as to long term success. You just badmouth every friggin thing you can. So here we have our controversy and the bugs come crawling out from the corner. just like always.
