Support For Joe Philbin

I'm done defending Philbin. The team looked just as ****ty as the last time we came off a bye. Not only that but the ****ing Bucs did everything they could to give that one away, it seems pretty obvious some of their players are actively trying to lose every game.

I know...they did everything they could to give us that game...

Superbowl? LOL

I support anyone who's coaching our team and I hope for the best. I like Philbin but he really hasn't done anyting in particular that leads me to believe we're going to win a superbowl with him as the HC. Not saying he can't lead us there, just that he hasn't shown anything special. The hard thing for me was to see how we had 2 weeks to prepared to play the last place Bills at home and with their 4 string QB and we lost that game. If he's going to take us to a superbowl, he needs to win those games.

Ozzy rules!!

Name something brilliant Joe has done. I can't think of anything.

Supporting Failbin is as pointless as the Pollocks charging German tanks on horseback!

Actually, that's a myth. Polish Cavalry units were re-equipped as anti-tank units, as their horses were perfect for pulling anti-tank guns and equipment. They never actually charged any tanks on horseback!

So in this sense, the analogy actually does kind of work since the doomed Miami Dolphins squad elected not to charge out to save their coach's job, and instead played like a bunch of bums.

No, here's the buzzkill: you ever seen that movie Groundhog Day? Being a fan of this team is like being Bill Murray in that movie. I wake up every morning and want to smash the alarm clock when I realize that Jeff Ireland is still eating crayons in the romper room over in Davie.

Ireland built the team with guys wanting money like #11. I Would have kept Long, Bush and drafted an offensive weapon for starters. Those guys worked hard and using pick #3 pick on a weapon is what half the world would have done. Instead we got guys that don't care it seems. Imports collecting $. There is more than one reason to build through the draft, Ireland was looking to be a hero and it was a long shot that didn't pay, his whole little plan there. Fireland

You're a world traveler, ever been to Shanghai? If you have, I'm sure you know why someone would eat drywall over there.

Philbin's showing to me that he and his staff cant win without enough talent and luck. The "schemes" and "systems" just aren't there. The players on O and D often times look confused, miscommunication, misreads, missed tackles, missed ball placement, missed pocket movement. I think what we're seeing is a team that is 4-5 simply because of their innate talent, but cant get over the hump against mediocre/poor teams because it Always comes down to playing scrappy and grinding out a win. Grinding it out, week after week, is not a sign of a good football team. It shows that there's too much up to risk, penalty calls, whoever makes the least mistakes in a mistake-filled game. I don't think Philbin would say that's his goal for this team -- he wants attention to detail, finesse, smart play, professionalism. Like many elite clubs we can think of. But that is Not the team we're getting week after week, and that's his job and his staff's to provide a basis for that. The talent might not be there at every needed position with a GM like Ireland, but no NFL team is perfect.

I was an avid Philbin supporter up until tonight; I placed full blame on Ireland (and mostly Sherman) for the Dolphin's mess. Hell, I thought the team looked modestly prepared in the past 8 games, but now I'm starting to see the real cracks. This team, as Gruden put it, is simply Not prepared, and Philbin still hasn't set forth a strong enough foundation for the players.
