I'm sure Peyton Manning thought about quitting.
I can be sure he didnt and you can be sure he did but neither of us know the truth. My point is not what we think but instead the FACTS. Taylor publicly stated he thought about quitting while Manning did not publicly state he thought about quitting. With these facts one can reasonably deduce that Taylor thought about it and Manning didnt moreso than Taylor thought about it and Manning thought about it.

Maybe the person who claims he didn't should do a little research before he posts such claims, i.e. - from http://www.washingtonpost.com/sport...3b5ca6-3a55-11e3-b7ba-503fb5822c3e_story.html:
I see what youre saying, however where in your post did manning say he was close to retirement or that he thought about quitting because Im reading the same thing you are and nowhere does manning state that he thought about quitting.

Again, if you've never thought about quitting something, you've never done anything all that difficult or challenging; or you're just a liar. Taylor's biggest mistake was admitting it and allowing such people to feel falsely superior.

This is really what it comes down to. Taylor publicly stating it. Had he not his mental toughness and willingness to play wouldnt be in question and we wouldnt be having this conversation right now
