Tannehill, Luck ,RG3 , Foles

You can come up with all the obscure stats or outlooks that you want, fact is, the other QBs are getting the job done and ours isn't, for 3 years our QB has looked average with no progress.

You should open up a consulting firm. Tell people how to fix their businesses. I think you'd have a real knack for it.

ehhh...the buffalo bills at home is an entirely different level defense than the one i saw out of philly and indy both the other night...both those units they better roll with fast tempo offense cause unless they get up big those defenses are in serious trouble

either of those defenses come into your house you should shred them...bills defense isn't as formidable on the road either although it's way more talented in the front than philly or indys...

indy has zero pass rush presence werner is wasting snaps on the edge doing the two step with any tackle he faces philly is basically fletcher cox and mychal kendricks in the front 7...

it's too bad we don't have a difference maker at mike lb...then this d would be cooking with gas

awful lot of bad defenses in pro football...just not in our division...

Find one spot where im calling someone a name FIRST...Posters bait me into it, and im not a *****, Im scared of nobody and will not be verbally abused by some internet tough guys(dorks).

Well, isn't that ironic.

Madam Shame, you seem to be taking things on an "internet forum" far to seriously. It is a choice to be on this forum, read its content and post. You are responsible for what you post and while you may think you are being civil, it is you who is doing "the baiting". It is one thing to have a difference of opinion and there are many on this site who are able to articulate the short comings of Tannehill with out coming across as a troll. Maybe that is your goal, to troll, but don't get angry when someone calls you out on it. You have told posters that you have "forgotten more about football then you will ever know. Simple as that." wouldn't that be....slightly insulting? With that said, enjoy your time on the forums and as my mother told me when I was younger "don't dish it out, if you can't take it".

Thank you for saying what I could not.

3 tds on gift wrapped play action goal line plays like luck had is not something to really pimp...that said his intangibles and pocket presence is off the charts...really his best traits...cause he missed a bunch of throws with poor placement or accuracy in the first half the other night...something i see him do a lot of frankly

as for the pick i stopped the dvr to see if the ball was out of hand i got still shot of ball in hand and hilton going to ground already and that was absolutely in the 5 yard zone...would i like to have that call absolutely i would do i think it's a concrete penalty given the ball was in his hand still no i don't

foles has mastered that philly offense but he's a system qb...said it last year saying it today...the star is the system in that offense...that the tempo the oline mccoy and ertz who is legit...riley cooper gets away with some extended arm play early in vertical routes...how he gets "separation"

rg3 is garbage...games entirely to contact...

both the eagles and colts have taken what miami should to score more points...really fast tempo on offense...

Foles looked like crap for most of the game. He missed way more throws than Tannehill. I counted 3 off target throws on screen passes. The Tannehaters would have a meltdown if that were Tannehill.

Everyone makes off-target throws. Luck, for instance, threw behind or over his guys a few times.

The problem Tannehill has had the last two weeks is that he has straight up thrown uncatchable balls to open receivers, at least two of which should have been touchdowns. I can't absolve Tannehill of that blame. My only gripe with the way people are ragging on the QB is, they are blaming him for EVERYTHING, even things where the WRs just straight up drop the damn football. People on this board love to trot out all kinds of statistics to say that the QB sucks, but how about the statistics that say our pass-catchers suck, too?

QB needs to stop missing throws, and receivers need to stop dropping passes. I will concede that both errant throws and drops do happen, even to good players, but the rate is unacceptable on both ends. And quite frankly, I have higher expectations for my QB than I do for Brian Hartline.

Not absolving Tannehill for his misses. Merely stating that ALL QBs miss, even to open receivers. I don't think it has been much more frequent with Tannehill than most of the other QBs.

Errant throws occur an a much higher than drops, simply because throwing accurately is so much more difficult.

I look at it this way, if Tannehill is throwing 20% or 30% more errant throws than average and our receivers are dropping 100% more than average, who is the bigger problem? I want BOTH to improve.

Sure, I agree with that. Like you look at the Sims Drop and the Hartline drop and the Miller drops and Miller cutting off a route to avoid contact, and Wallace letting a football hit him in the face and it's like... do you think those guys are EVER going to stop having a play like that every game or two?

That stuff happens. More consistency from the QB will give them more opportunities to redeem themselves. Remember, the QB gets his hands on the ball 30+ times per game, while the receivers only get maybe 3 to 10 opportunities if they're lucky.

if tanny played like those two did at different points of that game like luck and foles did this place would be going horse ****...luck frankly misses too many things...foles gets away with some questionable decisions at times cause of that tempo

is what it is...i'm glad i have tannehill...i just hope the between the ears game and pocket game that i expected to develop with more reps does in fact do so...

I'm a big Tannehill supporter and I will say that he has absolutely stunk up the joint the last 2 games. That doesn't mean I won't give him more time to develop. There are no better options for the Dolphins right now at QB than Ryan Tannehill and he gives us the absolute best chance to succeed. Matt Moore can not take this team as far as Tannehill can, no matter how beautiful his deep ball is.

BTW, here is one for the people that bash Tannehill for sliding short of the first down last year. Nick Foles did the same thing Monday night. The Eagles also failed to pick up the first down. It happens!

He definitely needs to play better, but stating that he stunk up the joint is too strong of a statement.

Catching the balls that hit you in stride is helpful too.

He hit Miller in stride on a blitz by the defense in the 4th quarter that would have converted. I saw him hit receivers in stride at least 6 times in the game. The issue is consistently hitting them in stride.
