feel good all you want but the numbers don’t lie. We won’t have a chance against the better teams with his subpar play. Flame away, but it’s the cold hard truth. We should have won this game easily but once again tannehill couldnt get a drive going if his career depended on it. His three touchdown drives all started on their side of the field. Then at the end of the game he was scared to throw. Gmafb.

Ummm did you not see the 6 minute drive to ice the game where he threw and ran to convert key 3rd downs??? Or the one before that where they were driving until his center forgot how to snap the ball??? Did you miss those?

I feel like if you were going to make this arguments you should absolutely avoid the numbers. They support the opposite of your argument....

Very disappointing but in due time that connection will be nasty. Tannehill still a bit rusty and uncomfortable in the pocket
And at that point in the game, the pressure obviously had affected him. Romo couldn't stop talking about how Tannehill didn't plant for the throw.

Not close. He fully took advantage of the favorable possessions. It was great to have an early lead for a change.

Games like that often evolve statistically in favor of the trailing team. I've made that point countless times when we were the trailing team and putting up somewhat phony second half numbers in rally mode, while the team in the lead coasted and looked statistically weak. Today there was no chance I was going to ignore the same dynamic when we happened to be on the other end.

Tannehill did fine. If the game had been competitive throughout he would have needed significantly greater numbers.

Likewise, games like this are one of the reasons it is so laughable to propose 7000 yards or anything ridiculous for Marino in this era. There are always going to be games like today, where greedy passing yards simply aren't required. The adjusters comfortably ignore that type of reality.

which numbers?

the 74% completion rate? 2TD/0INT? 168 yds? 17/23/0 with 7.3 yds/att? 45yds rushing including 4 rushes for 1st down?
123 QB rating?

please tell us which numbers dont lie so we can respond.

thanks
