Tannehill vs Luck Updated

Pair him up with a top defense, pass protection, and a running game and I would guarantee it.

If winning is all that matters and winning the most critical games is most important, then by your own rules Sanchez didn't get it done. He LOST the most important game of the year every year he was in the league.

Oh, and .... butt fumble....

your D is really good, you can run the ball, you have plenty of weapons in the pass game. Go win in January.

 Vaark you did a cruddy job of blurring out those posters. It's still easy to figure out who every single one of 'em is.

talking toy yourself again? you could have stopped at "Vaark you did a cruddy job" and it would describe 99% of "his" posts.

I love the Vaark and Junc beef. It's so entertaining. But I do find interesting how Junc finds any thread praising Miami and tries to discredits it. It's like his mission in life.

Do you not see the double standard here?

Sanchez against SD: 12-23-100-1-1. 17 points scored - Sanchez was vital......

Tannehill against SD: 22-35-268-1-1. 20 points scored - Tannehill was nowhere to be found....

Get the F out of here with your ridiculous Sanchez nonsense. He sucks and everyone knows it, especially his own team.

Tannehill is already 10x the QB that Sanchez ever was. The only thing that takes away from my disappointment over the benching of Sanchez is the play of Geno Smith. The only truthful thing you have ever written about Sanchez is in my signature.

you're talking to a paid shill - who gets demerit points for being shown up like we've done here using his words and standards against him. Like arguing with a door knob :idk:

It's kind of pathetic that he gets paid to post all day, but I guess it's all relative: it would be more pathetic if he was allowed to do so for the purpose of keeping him out of the way of productive employees and/or that he abused his home online access to such a level that his privileges were revoked. :idk:

A lot of thread to read so I apologize if this point has already been made.

TD - Turnover ratio is the most crucial stat in my opinion when evaluating QB"s.

Luck: 18 TD (14 Passing; 4 Rushing) - 8 Turnovers (6 INT; 2 Fumbles)

RT: 15 TD (14 Passing; 1 Rushing) - 16 Turnovers (11 INT; 5 Fumbles)

Though Tanney has absolutely been beaten on more he needs to take much better care of the football. I mean he's doubled Luck's amount of turnovers.

Also Luck has escaped much more than Ryan and has much better overall pocket presence. But i am not giving up on RT developing his awareness, he is a cool customer and keep his eyes down field. Just needs to understand when and how to help the o-line maintain their blocks. A slight drift here and there like Peyton does on a weekly basis can really help them sustain em. RT loves to chill at the top of the pocket and then struggles to identify the correct time to move up in the pocket. This will all come with time I am confident in that. With improved personal along the front and RT making these adjustments. Over time this will not even be an issue.

Biggest factor though is Luck's clutch-ness. We have seen glimmers from RT but not similar to how successful Luck has been.

Buy hey AL was the "best" Qb prospect ever. So possibly its unfair to even make these comparisons.

The thing that gives me hope is that RT's # are comparable. Which puts a smile on my face.

All faith in RT and our playoff run!

So predictable that you've degenerated to babbling as a form of argument.

Tell me again who you wouldn't trade Sanchez for? The Jets would take a case of sports tape and some gatorade.

I told you so.

If Mark Sanchez is truly bad, does that mean Ryan Tannehill is truly good?

All good points, but let's not forget that LUCK has played twice as many games at QB than Tannehill, who played WR the first two years of College..

I like t-hill but he needs to fix his fumble problem.. Last year he had a tipped ball problem and he has worked on that. But Sanchez I'd take him for a back up just to make our defense feel good in practice.

Whens the last time he fumbled?

Frankly, I don't care if Tannehill will ever be as good as Luck. Just that he is good enough. Only 3 or 4 of the last 12 SBs have been won by QBs considered one of the very, best at the time they won. P Manning, Brees, Rodgers, and probably Brady when he won his third were considered top 4 or 5 QBs in the league. E Manning, Roethlisberger, Flacco, Johnson were all good to very good and are well within Tannehill's potential.

Neither Roethlisberger or E Manning are as good as P Manning, or Brees, or Rodgers yet both have 2 SBs.

LOL at this thread.... you guys are out of your collective minds.

LUCK is better than THILL.... He will lead his team to multiple SB's.

Uhm, just out of curiosity, when was the last time he fumbled? Or threw a pick when his arm got hit as he threw the ball? Because now that he has one competent tackle, it doesn't seem to be happening much.
