Tannehill vs Luck Updated

New GM, if not for the new GM Mark would be starting.

So the GM picks the lineup? Does he call the plays too?

Just say you don't have examples and move on.

I gave you one... The NYJ 2009-2010. Any other example I could give would just be denied by you. Been there, done that.

Sanchez was benched in NY just like I told you he would be. My opinion was confirmed by the only opinions that matter.

That is fair, I have seen most of your games but not every snap but you do that exact same thing proclaiming Geno to suck based on not seeing every snap.

i've seen enough i can tell ya that...only game i gave him a a positive score on was the falcons monday nighter of the games i have seen...you don't need to see every game to judge a qb...it comes pretty easy really...but you can't sit there and tell me what exactly happened in every game either...there's a difference

and you need to understand what outside of the qb is driving his success or failure...and with the jets the qb drives his failures by and large

I am not disagreeing w/ you but I still think it's a little early to make a proclamation. I am not encourage by his regression though.

Idzik is in charge, he didn't gte to pick a HC so he was going to pickt he QB. anyone who watch camp would tell you Mark was way ahead of geno. The competition was a sham.

Like I thought, you can't do it. Thanks for playing!

I don't judge solely on wins, I use many difference factors when evaluating but the most important for me is wins.

No offense but looking at some of your "evaluations" you posted on Sanchez your opinion means little to nothing.

Mark was a good QB in this league until 2012 when he had Tony Sparano running his offense, Tim Tebow and the worst set of healthy skill players the league has seen in a long time. I don't care if it didn't always look pretty but w/ him we won a lot of games including a bunch of playoff games. That doesn't happen by accident.

i have yet to get a read on the buffalo qb yet...just haven't seen him enough yet...but i do know that what i did see early in the season the offense was really dummied down...

he was VITAL to winning that game, the game was won at QB. SD's QB made the big mistakes, ours did not.

you guys win when your pass rush is dominating, lose when they aren't. Your season needed saving in TB, did Ryan step up? On Sunday the D won that game harassing Rivers. 2 biggest games of the year, Ryan nowhere to be found.

Junc, don't you see...he was VITAL to winning that game, the game was won at QB. SD's QB made the big mistakes, ours did not.

I love how you pick and choose to fit your argument. Sanchez has a small role in a game, you won because he didn't make the big mistakes. Same goes for Tannehill and he was nowhere to be found. Real jokester.

I did like how Geno performed in prime-time though! Not gonna lie

Luck is light years yet has almost identical stats:rolleyes:

I have both of them in Fantasy Football league, so I follow both closely. You are right, their stats are remarkably comparable and the football media experts would not believe it if they looked at the data. Luck is rightly loved by all and Tannehill barely gets into the conversation. However, the numbers are a bit of a misnomer because they don't show Luck's terrific skills in:
(a) sensing the protection collapse and firing the ball away in a nano-second, whereas Ryan gets sacked.
(b) the injury to Reggie Wayne has meant that Luck is now making chicken salad out of chicken sh*t - we have much better WRs
(c) Luck is surprising good at running with the ball, whereas I sense that Sherman has ordered Tannehill not to.

mark was vital, watch the game. games like that turn on bad plays from scared QBs like Rivers awful INT that changed that game.

Geno was great against Atl, he's been bad pretty much ever since though unfortunately.

yes, he really wasn;'t ready to start and we have had a ton of injuries/suspensions. In that NO game 2 weeks ago these were our top 4 leading receivers:

Greg Salas
Zach Sudfeld
Josh Cribbs
David Nelson

Not one of those guys was on our roster week 1.

I know they sound like excuses and maybe they are b/c I want him to succeed but I'm not throwing out a rookie yet.

you should...his warts are a bad omen...

i'd like to say that we will chew up geno smith and spit him out but our lb play is so awful vs the run especially that i can't say we'll make you one dimensional and expose him...

philip wheeler...what a trash player that guy is...lb depth as horrid as any team in the league

The SD playoff game:

Bottom Line: SD Lost that game more than NYJ winning it and as Mike Westhoff has observed in general, Sanchez was somewhere on the bus but sure not driving it:

Sanchez: 60QBR 101 yds, sub 50% completion, 1TD (short yardage resulting from a Rivers int) and 1 Int (with return in 3rd quarter, putting SD on the jest 37 yd line approaching FG range before Rivers gave it back to Revis). So much for The Buttfumbler doing nothing to hurt the team LOL... Overall in a 3pt game, Sanchez put up an impressive 41yds in the second half

Sanchez: so miserable a passer that day, another way that SD lost the game was allowing him to hand off to Greene for a 53 yd TD run. Overall 168yds rushing, 101 passing.

This loss was on SD, it's QB who gave back a Sanchez boneheaded interception and a choking kicker. Also on the defensive scheme which despite having to defend against an inept passer, still allowed too many rushing yards. Kaedig, missing 2 sub 40 chip shots and a makeable mid 50s as well .....And that's all she wrote.

I think for the moment without doubt Ryan is the 2nd best QB in the AFC East, will be the best QB in the East once Brady leaves, and considering his ceiling has not been reached yet, could be one of the best in the AFC, with a possibility of maybe being one of the best in the NFL.
