Indianapolis Colts: 2
Jacksonville Jaguars: 2
Kansas City Chiefs: 1
Miami Dolphins: 1
Minnesota Vikings: 2
New England Patriots: 2
New Orleans Saints: 0
New York Giants: 1
New York Jets: 2
Oakland Raiders: 2

Since we took Marino, we haven't taken one in first round since 83.. hope you understand that.

That's common knowledge.

What may not be common knowledge is that just about every team in the league hasn't taken many, if any, more than that in the same span of time.

It seems..

..that we're only 1 of two teams to have not taken a 1st round QB in that span. That's what I find significant about your information.

Then you're reading it wrong.

Did you expect teams to take 7-8 1st round QBs in 28 years? Seriously?

Did you expect so few teams to have taken significantly more than the Dolphins during that time?

That's the question.

I think most people would find 2-3 pretty significant.
Only seven teams have taken 3 or more during that time.

Nine teams besides us have taken 1 or fewer.

The rest have taken 2.

I would say we're not nearly as far off the beaten path as many seem to have expressed.

I don't think you can say that if a team took exactly one more quarterback than we have, they're somehow "on the ball" and we're not.

I guess you could call Carson Palmer a 1st-round pick for the Raiders now. ;)

You say since we drafted Marino we drafted 1 QB in the first round. Who is the QB that we drafted in the first round since Marino.

The list is inclusive of 1983.

It's actually true that the Kansas City Chiefs have also drafted no quarterback in the 1st round since 1983, when they drafted Todd Blackledge.

Several other teams have numbers that include a QB drafted in the 1st round in 1983.
