The Black-Out Threads....

Every single football I went to (only 3) I have had to pay $90-110 US for nose bleed seats. If you can get a ticket from the actual team they are very reasonable

it's amazing to me that one can go on ticketmaster this late and find tickets for this game in the lower section for 87 bucks.
i wished i lived in miami.

You guys are absurd. I think I can speak for the huge California, especially SoCal Miami fanbase that we're just absolutely disgusted by the fact that Dolphin games often have a huge away contingent of fans. If I lived within two hours of Dolphin Stadium, I might consider season tickets, atleast two games a year.

I'm actually very happy it's being blacked-out locally....

The fans who live within the black-out radius, who wont buy a ticket, don't deserve to see the game anyway. Lesson learned, even if you can't make it to the game, or aren't within driving distance, buy a ticket anyway. Afterall, it's not about attendance, it's about ticket sales. Next time, go buy a ticket and do your part like the rest of us...

ticket prices are obsurd, the florida heat is disgusting, and dade county isn't a place i'd like to put myself ever.

What a bunch of crap. I was in Miami last year for the Cardinals game and I thought the city of Miami was wonderful. The people were friendly everywhere I went and I would love to come back some time.

you did mispell absurd. I laughed at his comment, because of this.

The first post was very, very well articulated. We South Floridians have many
choices for our leisure time. I feel much worse for the Marlins than the Dolphins.

I'll be at the game on Sunday. Me and 3 others, with my 4 season tickets, cheering our ***** off. Sometimes we do leave early when getting beat though. I'm the first to admit there are much more hard-core (better if you will) fans than me. I salute them.

We all a free to spend what we want or not. We are all free to say what we want or
not. That's what so great. I love this country and this forum for it.

aren't you the intellectual powerhouse pointing out spelling errors on an informal forum.

what you said just made you a fairweathered fan which the thread is complaining about. You won't see bills fans complaining about the snow blizzard ,tickets prices and buffalo being close to Canada

I'm sure some of them must. Watching a ball game in the cold is nearly impossible without the assistance of friends like: Jack, Jim, Johnny, the Captain, and so forth.

That photo of me (my avatar) was at the Monday night game in Lambaeu (we lost:mad:) I was freezing my *** off. Had the opportunity to spend the 2nd half in a luxury box, but opted to go back in the bowl (last row) because it was jus t that much more fun.

I don't think anyone has blamed the season ticket holders. You all are the self-righteous ones who are calling everyone else pathetic.

If I lived in Florida (not just Miami), I'd be a season ticket holder, so you can take what I say with a grain of salt. I would give my right leg to be able to go to games on a regular basis, and as much as I love sitting at home and watching the game, there's a certain atmosphere with a live game that can't be beaten.

We have 200,000 people in our city (1 million in the province) and we sell out our 30,000 seat stadium a good 80% of the time. I *know* there are a lot more people in the Miami area, so I don't see why they can't sell out a 70,000 seat stadium more. Still - those that don't go to the games really shouldn't complain that they can't see the game on TV.

But, as I said... grain of salt.

He probably hasnt been in Dade county for years, he has no idea. And how does dade county have any effect on a game in Dolphins Stadium? I have concluded to ignore him because he knows not what he says.

i'm not sure what part of miami you visited, but i was born in dade, grew up in broward, and went to highschool in palm beach. now, i've ventured to the west coast in hopes of finding a relatively decent area.

Even though I'm starting another one, this isn't based on why games get blacked out, but more about where these fans get off complaining about it....

Games get blacked out every season, and ever season we have these fans coming here complaining about them not being able to see the games on TV....

They cry about how pathetic our fan base is down here, yet do nothing to contribute to the cause. Should these fans be saying anything??? Afterall, they aren't doing anything to help the cause by waiting for someone else to buy up the remaining seats. I think the season ticket holders, or the fans who show up on a weekly basis should be the one's complaining about the black-outs....

How many times have these arm chair fans, who sit on their couches, ever thanked us, the fans who buy the tickets, for the blackouts being lifted???....ANSWER : NEVER.

I'm sick if these fans complaining. They shouldn't even be allowed to comment on the subject as far as I'm concerned. It's easy, either you pay for a ticket and get your *** to the game, or you don't get to watch it. If that bothers you, too bad. That's why they black the games out in the first place, to get the fans to get off their couches and go.....

I know I'm venting, but there's really nobody to blame for the games being blacked out other than the fans who choose not to go. If you live within driving distance, and don't show, blame yourself. Not the fans who do their part to keep it from happening....

You can merge this thread if you want. I also want to apologize to some of the fans I may have insulted here today regarding this subject. I just can't stand it when fans who are capable of going choose not to simply because they want to to sit at home instead....

PHINZ RULE!!!

Im sick of you "if I lived in Miami"ers.. Why dont you support YOUR local team bigmouth? Why are you a Miami fan if you are in another town with a local team if thats the case? If you are such a big fan, why dont you MOVE to Miami so YOU can support the team instead of inventing some fantasy-scenario in which you would go to ALL the games while chastising all the Miami locals for not doing so..

If I dont have 400+ bucks to blow on a game, I dont have 400 bucks to blow..

I try to go to at least one game a year, but there are reasons I cant afford to attend every damn game.
