Im sick of you "if I lived in Miami"ers.. Why dont you support YOUR local team bigmouth? Why are you a Miami fan if you are in another town with a local team if thats the case? If you are such a big fan, why dont you MOVE to Miami so YOU can support the team instead of inventing some fantasy-scenario in which you would go to ALL the games while chastising all the Miami locals for not doing so..

If I dont have 400+ bucks to blow on a game, I dont have 400 bucks to blow..

I try to go to at least one game a year, but there are reasons I cant afford to attend every damn game.

I don't think he was directing it at people who can't afford it Skape, or at least the last line in his post led me to believe that.

i'm not sure what part of miami you visited, but i was born in dade, grew up in broward, and went to highschool in palm beach. now, i've ventured to the west coast in hopes of finding a relatively decent area.

Sorry for giving the city of Miami a compliment.

Was this directed towards me???...

I live in Ft. Lauderdale, have been a fan since birth, and have been a season tocket holder for over a decade now...

Alright buckwheat, I wasn't ripping you (read my post carefully), but now the gloves are off. They let you log onto the internet from your breaks off the fyers? And I am the intellectual (bet you spell checked that one) powerhouse compared to you. Believe it. :fire:

breaks? i'm sitting through statistics @ fgcu right now. intelligence? you're inept ablility to convey any message of substance proves your ignornace.

There is nothing better than to kick back, relax, pop open a beer and watch football in the confines of your house. Especially with HDTV and the NFL package.

I attend a couple of games a year. But driving to OpaLocka, waiting in lines, sitting in the hot sun, and then when you are leaving you have to fight the traffic again is not my idea fun. If I lived closer I would attend more games.

I live in Charlotte and have no issues with the blackout of Dolphin games but i do have an issue with the season opener not being a sell out. Where are the fans? I hear about how the Dolphins rule South Florida and how much the fans love them but where is the action? I read today where the season opener of the 1992 season was not a sell out. Are you kidding me? Coming off a playoff berth, Don Shula coach, Dan Marino at QB and you didn't sell it out??? Carolina panther fans are some of the worst on the planet and I give them crap all the time for thier bandwagon ways. Not selling out the opener or playing in a half empty stadium last year makes me think Dolfans are the exact same. If i had the money for an airline and game ticket I'd be there but unfortunately I do not. Please go out and support the Fins.

I'm sure some of them must. Watching a ball game in the cold is nearly impossible without the assistance of friends like: Jack, Jim, Johnny, the Captain, and so forth.

That photo of me (my avatar) was at the Monday night game in Lambaeu (we lost:mad:) I was freezing my *** off. Had the opportunity to spend the 2nd half in a luxury box, but opted to go back in the bowl (last row) because it was jus t that much more fun.
some may complain but they show up.

So. Fla. compared to Buffalo or Greenbay is different though. You have the beach and some punani to go w/ it. I love my bills but no way would I take the game over punani.

i hate to ask again, but...

why doesnt the dolphins organization, buy the remaining tickets to lift the black out?

i hear of teams doing that all the time. why not do it for the 1st game?

and if they did it, who do they pay???

You must be joking, cause these aren't even legitimate arguements.

Teams don't buy up remaining tickets, big companies do.....

I've never heard of any team owner buying up remaining tickets just to have it televised. Maybe they do it in Buffalo, but I've never heard of that happening....

PHINZ RULE!!!

I don't know about anyone else...But I have a hard time spending 6 or 7 bucks for an adult beverage when I can by 12 of them for the same price at the 7-11...I stopped going to Rock Concerts when they started charging 40 bucks a ticket....I stopped watching Boxing when they started charging 40 bucks to watch it...And I stopped going to Football games when they started charging 50 bucks a ticket...So I would never criticize anyone for not going to a game but would compliment them on being wise for not throwing their money away.

First, I've been a Dolphins fan for 22 years and the Panthers (Charlotte area) have been around for 10 and i am not going to bail on the team I grew up rooting for. Second, the "why don't you MOVE to Miami" statement is a true case of ignorance. Sure, let me up root my life for a professional football team. Makes perfect sense  . That's just terribly stupid statement.
