Neither is a starter! Plain and simple. Screw the Feeley crap screw the Gus crap!
Until AJ steps up and quits making bad mental errors, he is the pine rider. Yes he looked better on Sat. But if you remember last year, the stupid mistakes turn into a very very quick 6 if you know what I mean. Saban and Linehan would rather give Gus the chance to work on his timing than just throw ill advised passes.
I agree that if Gus does not start hitting the deep ball, he should be benched. I would have him on a short leash. It is better to have a guy that gives his team a chance to make the play than not to have the chance at all. AJ needs to step it up and work a little OT and get this system figured out. Work w/ the young guys after practice. Show that he really wants the gig. If the had the same work ethic of a Manning, the gig would be his. He should have been studying Minnesota film for months to understand the scheme. Linehan I am sure would have put the extra time in.
