The Dolphins and Bills are a lot alike...

I wouldn't call a team taht couldn't beat the steelers backups a hair away from missing the playoffs...but you can.
If the Pats couldn't beat a 4-12 Miami then they aren't last years champs.

Did you even watch the bills last year. Did you know that the bills would've made playoffs if the refs didn't screw up on a Henry TD against the Raiders that would have won us the game. Yeah, we were 1 blown call away from making playoffs. That's a hair away.

If they won that game they were in the playoffs. That is head and shoulders closer than Miami got last year.

I do agree with a hair away, but I know for a fact you would not let a Dolphin fan get away with the "blow call" excuse.

FTP I like you but man....My glasses are tinted aqua and orange yours are blackouts.

I wouldn't say that but I also don't believe what I saw last year was the team we all know and love, sometimes bad things happen and no matter how hard you try you can't overcome them. Thats what I believe happend to the fins last year. How does a team that won as many games as the fins did go from being a 10 win team to a 4 win team in just one season?? It wasn't the talent. So if it wasn't the talent it must have been the coaching and bad luck. Well lst year was last year. And If SD can go from 4-12 to 12-4 in one season I'm sure the fins have the ability to do it.

call it an excuse. First time I've really used to to make a point that we were that close. It doesn't get closer than that and yet I have never said we were a playoff team because we didn't make it. ;)

Why couldn't the Bills beat a steelers team playing mostly backups in Buffalo?? If I remember correctly the D in Buffalo didn't impress in that game. No, I don't agree with close. If they were in Pittsburgh and the Steelers had to have the game and the bills lost a close one then yes I would agree with them being close. But Pittsburgh had nothing to play for, they already had homefield wraped up. The win would have neither helped or hurt them so basicly they were just going through the motions trying to get out of Buffalo with as few injurys as possible and beat the bills who had everything to play for laying everything on the line holding nothing back and throwing caution to the wind. The Bills will have a worse season this year and the fins will be better.

2. Can the young qb lead the team. Neither qb will have to dominate a game. Neither qb will have to be Dan Marino or Jim Kelly.. they will simply have to be good enough to not lose the game and make a couple key plays throughout every game. They must also keep the mistakes to a minimum.

A Bills fan that actually asks the ? can the young QB lead the team? Just about every Bills post I have seen on here, they always make comment about our QB position and they overlook the fact that they have a unproven Qb that didn't even make it out of the pre-season last year due to injury.

Nice post.

I don't see how you cannot see that 1 game is not close.

I don't see how starters verses backups with the backups on the road as a game!!

Do you think the fins would have been better last year with theses starters in the lineup...R.Williams,D.Boston, L.Chester,T.Bowens.

Did you forget we have R.Howard?? He was a starting Corner for the Panthers SB apperence. I know some here don't care for the guy but he will return to form in Sabans D, And from what I'm hearing T.Daniels has shown signs of being able to play. Besides this team will not be playing man coverage anymore. And the D will be based on pressuring the QB,droping linemen into coverage and making the cornerbacks resposibilitys in the secondary less isolated. Saban will have a D that can't be figured out by the second half of a game and Saban will make adjustments not like Wannys never changing game plan.

As for the Oline, the line really started to play well once Wanny hit the road and we had probably the worst oline coach in the game last year. Now we have one of the best and an OC that will stretch the field making blocking more effective. We added S.McDougle,D,Cook and our RB situation is ten times better. I'd say our line being much better is no stretch at all. Your WR's are not as good as Miami's one of them is older then dirt and the other is only in his second year and R.Parrish didn't exactly impress at UM last year, not for a canes WR anyway. He couldn't hold Hesters jock strap in the return game. Still I think Parrish is a solid WR and if weren't for his size I'd say he could be a very good WR down the road.

Yes Ive heard of Reggie Howard. I just read a thread on this site earlier today
saying he'll be the nickel corner. travis Daniels will probably be a good corner in the near future. We had a second year corner last year (T.McGee) who early in the season was getting burned for long pass plays. Young corners take time to develop. Is Eric Moulds as old as dirt? He's 31 years old. He still caught over 80 balls last year. I;m not going to regurgitate everything I said earlier other than I agree 100% with Tatonka.

Did you know the Dolphins have 15 more training camp practices then the Bills this year.

I do agree that it is really funny that Buffalo lost that game to a bunch of back ups with nothing to lose but their pride while Buffalo had everything to win. That in actuality they should of dominated that game against a team that should of been much worse then them. However that hugely embarrasing loss does not change the fact they were only one game away from the playoffs. Especially after a really slow start.

You are right the bills laid an egg. Either way you put it though losing by 100 points or losing by 1 in overtime, we were one game away from the playoffs.

I see you are once again ignoring my posts when you have no answer to my questions. Since the bills couldn't beat a back-up team , does it mean that the pats shouldn't be champs because they couldn't beat a 4-12 team that the bills happened to sweep?

Then Pain, with that ideology, you would have to say that the Fins weren't one game away from the playoffs two years in a row wwith Wanny at the helm.... even when the went 10-6. That would ALSO be wrong! You're logic escapes me dude...
