the fate of Tannehill

He may be our QB.. however in 2 years with Miami. 15 W/17L, 36 TD's 30 INT's, 18 Fumbles, 35 sacks. Not all his fault obviously. The point remains he needs turn it around fast and the rest of the team as well.As you said he is our QB,I look to him to be a leader, if you ever sat near the Miami sideline and heard the comments its clear he doesn't lead yet.
Ryan Tannehill is your quarterback. Sorry if that's gonna cause you to have a broke-brained meltdown for the next 9 months. Condolences.

Team doesn't need some magical rah rah leader to fire up the troops.

Team needs a dude who consistently makes good decisions in a timely fashion and delivers the football accurately.

35 Sacks?

Andrew luck: 57% comp pct(compare to RT with almost 60.. believe its like 59.5 or something), 27 ints(won't go into the 7 picks in 2 playoff games), 16 fumbles, 73 sacks.

So what's your point in tossing out numbers? Seeing as how luck is the next coming of football jesus and had weapons, o-line, etc.. in his first two years where as RT had some one year, not some the following and didn't have all the hype luck did, I would say they are close(don't buy into the playoff games for luck vs those for ryan because Luck has played badly in those games). In no way am I saying Luck is RT or vice versa, just how is it that Luck gets a pass on missed throws, bad reads, really bad games(not by the media either because anytime I've seen colts game and they do bad, announcers for whatever reason play the coach 1year removed from cancer card and I feel like that has nothing to do with the team this year, yes feel bad for anyone that goes through that but now it's like the oh crap luck is playing like crap, let's remind america his coach was ill scapegoat sadly) but when Ryan has bad games it's all about he can't lead, can't process nfl level defenses, etc.. That rah I'm a leader vibe is greatly over rated, it works for some players/teams, doesn't for others.. all a by product of the level of team play. Removed Ray Lewis from ravens for a few games and they still went out and did their job, Brady had that rawr in your face I'm a great emotionally high leader attempt this year and it got him nowhere, once he started to just play the game like brady does, stuff fell into place. A qb can go out and throw 6 picks but if he keeps his cool and gets his head in the game on final drive and brings home a W, screw stats imo

If that UCF qbis sitting there when we pick I would take him.
His girlfriend is freaking hot.
You guys need to get your priorities straight

Another possibility is Alabama QB AJ McCarron if hot girl friend is the criteria

If "hot wife" is the criteria, we should just trade for Vince Wilfork and convert him to QB...

More cushion for the pushin!!

again no one answers the question. AGAIN. I suggested a GM should go on two verticals. There is just as much a shot as him being a bust than being a star. So if you are a GM, you must prepare for that. It's not like Tannehill is the real deal after an amazing season

Except...you have a much better chance of success building around Tannehill..then investing in a QB there is no reason to think will be as good..and then building around them. Tannehill is a huge reason why many GM's want to come to Miami.

And no offense but..your theory doesnt make alot of sense. Do you think Indy is going to draft another QB because Luck threw what..6 ints hi last two games? Luck sucked against the Pats..and very nearly put his team in to deep a hole against the Chiefs. Only a melt down by the Chiefs Def Coord kept that from happening.

I counted the question being answered 14 times and I stopped on page 2,maybe the answer you dont want to hear?

Its weird watching dolphins fans on message boards.

The way some of you guys talk its like you want tannehill and philbin to fail, and enjoy starting over year after year.

Sorry I can't imagine starting over from the begining again, I'm putting my faith in them, heck its only been 2 years.

You didn't ask a question in first post, you posed statement as if you were the GM. A team should always be prepared in the field of back up qb, but for wanting a GM to stamp his name on preparing for RT to fail and drafting his view of what the franchise needs for a qb, qhat point is that? So you want a new GM to come in, force the current coaching staff to develop a QB they didn't want(I say that because they have RT, moore will probably cut/traded to somebody like dallas since orton proved he is romo-ish, might aswell get a cheaper romo clone then orton, and Pat D is highly viewed by the current staff)... so you want to pressure RT with a push in starter role, that is great, but we will have a new system, new coaches along the staff, etc... so even if the next GM drafts a qb to his liking, that is saying he has a coach in mind that can coach up the next QB since RT is viewed as a bust. So you want a repeat of last 10+ years of new coaches, new qbs, etc..? Calling for a new coach 3 years in I can understand, but come on now.. no qb in the world would put up average day numbers behind the o-line product we have put on the field this season. To me you just seem to have picked your username in hopes of Ryan being the next marino & nobody can live up to that, so now you're cutting your loses by using the GM search as reason to move on from a QB in his 2nd calendar year in the nfl...

RT showed a lot of development over the course of the year - last two games aside. If I'm his coach I make him throw about 100,000,000 deep balls down the sideline into a basket rigged on the back of Ross' ATV going at 30 MPH. If I'm Ross, I offer to drive. Do it until he's dropping 'em in there with his eyes closed.
