The Heat Will Wear The Broncos Down.

I wonder how the Broncos are going to deal with the 90 plus game time temp. on Sunday? Part of the Dolphins game plan will be to keep it close untill the 4th qtr. and then wear the Broncos down with the running game. The Broncos better hope for an over cast day, cool weather or rain. We have a huge advantage if it's really hot on Sunday.

Yeah except they performed very well against the Cardnials last week in 98 degree.

Once again, a very very different 98 degrees. Arizona has no humidity whatsoever.

That was our second sting unit (though the Cards played their firsts and we didn't.) Our starters didn't even dress so the only thing you can take from that is our depth is better than the Cardinals which isn't a terribly hard task to accomplish.

I will say this, though. The last time Denver went undefeated in the preseason we went 11-5. Of course the Colts didn't win a game and I'm sure they aren't going to suck, but who knows?

I wasn't talking about the team. I know Denver's got a good team. All I'm saying is you cannot compare the Arizona heat to Miami heat.

They WILL get tired.

It has been somewhat hot here, but not humid at all!!!!!!

What part of Denver do you live in? Have you experienced humid weather at all?

Actually we're an excellent fourth quarter team and a lot of it has to do with our practicing at high elevation. Your body naturally manufactures more hemoglobin this high so you require much less Oxygen when you go to sea level. We are pretty good in the fourth statistically. The humidity helps some of the older vets loosen up as well.

Don't forget we went down to Texas and scrimmaged with them outdoors for a week specifically to help get our team a little acclimated to the hot and humid weather for this game.

Will it be tough? Yes. Will we "wear down in fourth"? I think we'll be better than you expect.

Allright, I'm just saying Texas humidity won't get you ready for SoFla humidity.

The two most humid places in America are 1. New Orleans, by far and away.
2. South Florida.

The Dolphins practice and live in it all the time and it even wears them down.

As I said, it will no doubt be a factor. I expect it is a large reason why you guys' home opener record is so good. I think we'll manage to hang with you, though...

Believe it or not,we have a major advantage early in the year with the heat and humidity,as the broncos do late in the year, with the cold and snow.

On the field it gets even hotter. I've seen it reported that at field level it can get over 100.

Totally different. Heat and humidity dehydrate you. You lose your will. Not simply a matter of endurance. Heat exhaustion affects you much differently than high altitude and you can't really prepare for it.

If the score is close in the 4th quarter then the heat can really be a postive factor for the Fins.

Practicing at high elevation is a severe disadvantage when you have to play a game in September in Miami.
