the hooded one miss out on draft class

Belicheat is not a great talent evaluator, look at his drafts after Pioli left for Kanas City....he hit on one draft, that was the yr he used every pick on the Gator team......He has double digit picks every yr with most of them in the top 100 and he still has holes on DL, no pass rushing OL and his corners are weak.....he had to use FA to field a Defensive Line......on offense he has no WR and it looks like he found some depth at RB with this draft class.......as long as they have Brady and Belicheats defensive mind, they will win 12-14 games a yr and then get exposed in the playoffs by good teams....

the Patriots 2009 and 2010 drafts were much better than the Chief's drafts for those years. Pioli's first draft as the Chiefs GM was terrible.

I don't understand how Pioli gets all the credit for NE's drafting success but no blame for the bad drafts of 06-08.

as far as the Patriots' talent is concerned, their corners are far from weak, the dline has very good depth, and the WR corp is fine.

are the Dolphins supposed to be criticized for using FA to fill 3 of their 4 linebacker positions, or giving up 2 second round picks for one player?

I could understand if say a Jets or Steelers fan wanted to make fun of the 07 draft because they got great players from that class, but when your top 2 picks are Tedd Ginn and John Beck I just don't see a reason to criticize other team's draft picks.

Lol the Patriots cheated with Spygate, I don't see how you're trying to sweep that one under the rug. Obviously they did something really wrong if they were fined that much and their first rounder was taken away. I don't think Goodell would try to "flex his muscles" on one of the better owners without a good reason. The Patriots are cheaters, and they haven't won a super bowl since then lol.

So now that we've cleared that up... How'd you like the BB trailer?

Looks good. BB is a great coach, so I definately will check it out.

Patriots won 17 games in a row in one season POST spygate, and were a fluke catch away from a 4th title. Yeah spygate let them win titles...LOL. Didn't they just come off another AFC East title/ 14-2 with the youngest defense in the NFL?

So where's your argument to the spygate pumpers? You were allowed to tape signals in the endzone, Pats did it from the sidelines. It was a procedural infraction in which they were docked a 1st rounder. Keep using it as an excuse as to why we've owned the East for the past decade +

Sweet you guys went 14-2 last year, but I'm pretty sure we won as many playoff games as you did last year

The draft is hit and miss, everyone misses even the great Don! The Pats daft is rock solid if only from the standpoint of shear volumes of picks to a team mitigating the risk of missing on a prospect. NE, Pitt, San D all tend to do this well right now. I will say NE can not evaluate DB talent, it seems like every year they miss in this area.

Miami has had their share of missed picks but they have also had better overall drafting health in the past three seasons then the prior six. I have to believe both teams are still planning on addressing their biggest need and believe it or not it is QB. Tom is 34 and not getting younger, Mallet is a question mark right now, so pushing draft picks off one of two more years gives the Pats leverage to move up when the time is right to groom for Brady's replacement. The way I see it the next year or two seems about right, maybe even using Mallet like Philly used Kolb this off-season returning a higher pick then the one used to grab him.

The Phins however are slowly building better and better drafts. Parcells was a hoarder with the picks and it shows on defense now. The offense, well that is going to live and die with Henne. Even if Henne fails and takes the entire staff out the door with him the Miami roster is much improved over where it was four years ago. Yeah there are holes, no they are not elite but it takes time to harvest fruit.

Your right dlockz, the Pats are great with or without Brady, and Miami took the AFC east title from a great team in 2008...Thanks

If you recall, the Pats won 11 games that year without Brady, and were killing it at the end of the season once Cassell found his feet. That year was perhaps Belichick's best coaching masterpeice, and proves the opposite of your point.

Nobody hates the Pats more than me, but you have to respect greatness, and Belichick certainly is that.
