I wouldn't be surprised if Gronks traded for a first round pick
allowing the Pats 3 first round picks,That pick could be used for a QB or even Saquon Barkley
The possibility is terrifying
  • Round 1, Pick 23 (23rd overall) - From Los Angeles Rams*
  • Round 1, Pick 31 (31st overall) - Assigned Selection
  • Round 2, Pick 11 (43rd overall) - From San Francisco*
  • Round 2, Pick 31 (63rd overall) - Assigned Selection
  • Round 3, Pick 31 (95th overall) - Assigned Selection
  • If they wanted to trade up for a QB or Barkley they could
  • If they wanted to replace Gronk with Goedert they could
  • If they want to draft left tackle Mike McGlinchey they could
  • It's scary, the options they have in the draft

Who would trade a first round pick for a guy who doesn't know if he is going to retire or not?

I think the retirement rumors were due to the way he felt Belichick was treating him

I don't know. He has been told by a lot of people in Hollywood that he could have a great career outside of football. He has that whole wrestling thing also and he has had a ton of injuries. I really think he is weighing retirement.

Agree, but you just can't go around releasing players because they decided NOT
to show up for a voluntary workout/s. The NFL players association has rules regarding
these workouts.

You can't just cut and replace players like you posted for not showing up

General
  • Workouts cannot begin prior to the first Monday in April for clubs with a new head coach or the third Monday in April for all other clubs

  • Workouts are strictly voluntary; Club officials cannot indicate workouts are anything other than voluntary

  • Maximum 4 w/o per week (no weekends), with one week being the mandatory minicamp (not permitted on weekends)

  • Contact work is prohibited in all workouts (e.g. "live" blocking, tackling, pass rushing, bump-and-run, etc.)

  • Intensity and tempo of drills should be at a level conducive to learning, with player safty as the highest priority.
Phase One | 4 hours a day
  • Two weeks | Limited to strength and conditioning activities ("dead ball"); only strength and conditioning coaches allowed on field

  • 90 minute max on the field

  • Clubs can only specify 2 hours for players to be at the facility

  • Players choose the other 2 hours for weights, etc.
Phase Two | 4 hours a day
  • Three weeks | same rules as phase one apply except:
    • All coaches allowed on the field

    • Individual and “perfect play” drills allowed

    • No offense vs. defense, no one - on - one, no helmets
Phase Three | 6 hours a day
  • 4 weeks total

  • 3 weeks for 10 total OTA’s

  • A maximum of 3 OTA’s each week for the first 2 weeks

  • During Weeks 1 & 2 a 4th non OTA workout is allowed but phase two rules apply

  • A maximum of 4 OTA’s for the 3rd or 4th week

  • One week for mini camp

  • No pads except protective knee and elbow pads, helmets are permitted

  • No live contact

  • 7 on 7, 9 on 7 and 11 on 11 drills will be permitted provided no live contact takes place
Minicamp | 10 hours a day
  • Physicals on Monday but no practice

  • Practices Tuesday-Thursday, with a day off on friday

  • Allowed two practices totaling 3 ½ Hours on the field per day

  • Second practice limited to walk through activities only

You forgot the part where I said unless they have an excuse from Gase. Gase can cut whoever he wants

NP...every player should want to be at volunteery work outs for the betterment of the team

I'm with the players on this. They negotiated a contract making such offseason activities voluntary. And as long as it remains as such, I have no place to bitch about anything. And whining about it, is silly.

Gronk isnt going to do wrestling for long, if he is just a mouthpiece like Shane McMahon. But even that dude ends up in body casts from time to time, doing things I doubt we will ever see Gronk do.

Gronk celebrity is NFL or NE based. Once the game is done, he will follow the likes of previous NFL veterans into the studio of ESPN or FOX.

Who’s whining. I posted my opinion

Would be nice but thats not how it works in real life. No matter what the job is there are some people who try hard to excel and some people who are ok with just getting by.

Or...veterans understand what is needed from their bodies and take the necessary steps to keep in line with what the CS expects when mandatory workouts begin.

I'm sure Brady isnt just getting by at this time of year.

Cut and replace those that don’t show or don’t have an excuse from Gase. Should have 100% participation if they truly want to be great!

May not be whining, but it's your idea of what makes them great is indeed not based in reality. Whining, bitching, unfair expectations or just plain old silliness. You choose.

THIS IS THE LAST TIME I'M POSTING THIS
GASE CANNOT RELEASE ANYONE FOR MISSING VOLUNTARY WORKOUTS

PLAYERS DON'T NEED AN EXCUSE TO MISS THE WORKOUTS...IS IT RIGHT? NO it isn't
IF YOU HAVE Difficulty comprehending THAT ISSUE, I CAN'T HELP YOU

Volunteering is basically mandatory if you have any respect for your teammates and want to be the best you can be. UNLESS you have an agreement with your coach. But you can be silly and not understand. It’s all good bro

"A ton of injuries" and contemplating wrestling makes absolutely no sense
Wrestlers are always banged up or injured...I guess we can agree to disagree

There've been reports that Gronk "felt persecuted" to a degree in 2017 and he along with Tom Brady were "miserable" thanks to Bill Belichick's treatment of the "planet players."

In 2017, Gronkowski was able to haul in 69 receptions for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns. For comparison's sake, Bruton -- who'll make over $2 million more than Gronk in 2018 as things stand -- caught 23 passes for 248 yards and five touchdowns.

Jimmy Graham had fewer yards and receptions than Gronk in 2017 and is still going to make $4 million more than him next season.

"Show me the money!" iT'S ALMOST ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY

Well I’m glad it’s your last time posting so I don’t have to read it again

GASE OR TBum or whoever else can cut a player whenever and whoever they want at anytime. No I’m Sorry if you can’t comprehend THAT!
