Hey guys, Celtics fan here. I just turned on your game on TNT and I caught the tailend of a gamebreak that looked like a Celtics - Timberwolves trade had went down... but I can't find any information on it online.. I was wondering if anyone in this thread saw it?

The Celtics have reached agreement tonight on a trade that sends Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marcus Banks, Justin Reed and two future second-round draft picks to Minnesota for Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi and rookie Dwayne Jones.

As a Celtics fan, do you like the trade?



I just can't believe that you guys gave up Ricky Davis. I thought that Davis was a pretty good player and a nice 2nd option for you.

Eh, I liked Davis alot, he's athletic as hell and he has really matured since coming to Boston. On the other hand we did get rid of Blount, who is a complete stiff, and is making an outrageous amount of money. Kandi's contract is up after this year, so this seems like a move to clear some cap space. (Granted Wally's contract isn't exactly small)

We're not going to make much noise this year, I see us setting our rotation and giving the youngsters (West, Jefferson, Perkins) some necessary experience. Wally though is a nice luxury to have, the man can shoot.
 
lol @ Wade being called for a charge when Raja Bell completely moved his feet and wasn't even in position. Second time that happened tonight, and the second time even the commentators caught it.
 
We had such a good team last year. Why the **** did they have to fill the team with a bunch of egos?

Maybe you might think that way, but Riley shouldn't. As you all may know, my Rockets had the worst luck with injuries this season. T-Mac missed about 15 games, Yao has been out since early December, Derek Anderson and Bob Sura won't be back for awhile. Jon Barry is hurt, Stromile Swift is set to return tomorow, Ryan Bowen is also set to return tomorow and I think that's about all of them. Our bench is pretty crappy with three rookies getting plenty of playing time. Chuck Hayes is doing good, Head can't shoot anymore and John Lucas will be gone after Saturday because his 10 day contract is up. And yet Van Gundy says there aren't any excuse why our team is playing so poor this season. If you think you got it bad, then look at us. We are standing at 15-26 and you can tell that injuries has killed us. Since T-Mac as returned, we have been 3-1.


So as you see, don't make a big excuse because one dude is out, while you still have Shaq and D-Wade there. We had nobody when Yao and T-Mac was gone.

i'm not using that as a excuse but he's a huge upgrade vs a team like the suns
 
Hey...forget about the officials...they always suck...and sometimes they suck for the other team....

The Miami Suits...OH...I mean the Miami Heat once again faces off against a good team and somehow somebody mysteriously is on the bench with another damn suit on.

They played pathetic defense....made run after run after run and just when they cut it to 5 or 6...they forget how they cut it down in the first place.

This team is as dumb as a box of rocks.

I am also quite frankly a little tired with all of Wade's crying to the officials while his man gets an open three on the other end...or my favorite....a fast break dunk 4 on 2.

I don't know how you teach health......but this is getting ridiculous. Now we are having injuries show up out of nowhere....It's a fashion show out there.

And lastly....Antoine has become worthless and it is all due to not knowing how to use him....You can't run that guy out there in 6 minute intervals...he is not that type of player....If he is not going to get 25 minutes a game and have plays run for him...then he should be traded immediately.

That was a pathetic display...J-Will or no J-Will...
