Mavs fans, stop crying. Due to this flawed league, you'll get the last 2 at home.
Ya... but homefield advantage is a MUCH bigger factor in basketball than baseball...RobFins2005 said:ya know, baseball uses the 2-3-2 as well....I don't see what's so bad about it.
"But the NBA pointed out Monday that there was no violation on the play, citing a rule that allows a player to go into the backcourt to receive an inbound pass during the last two minutes of the fourth quarter or any overtime period."

All you really have to do is watch the NBA TV channel and watch what they call the "greatest games"...
Seriously....is a game really all that well played when you take a 135 to 134 lead on an uncontested layup in the half court set by driving right down the middle?
Look up the FG% from those days...they were not better than today's...yet they score in the 110's consistently...that tells me that they are playing ping pong and not basketball.
Why not just break out a game of horse and forget actual team play?
Awsi Dooger said:That was garbage basketball. I was in college at USC during the Showtime era and attended dozens of games at the Forum. I would laugh out loud at the so-called defense, yet no one around me understood what was so funny.
Want an uncontested 12 foot jumper? Be my guest.
A 3-on-2 fast break with the rest of the players lounging in the backcourt? Go right ahead.
Chuck Daly did the world a favor of incalculable proportion by truly contesting possessions for 48 minutes, and eliminating pathetic Showtime and its imitators.
I can't believe that '80s era is revered. Actually I can, because it falls right in line with abysmal handicapping, of the public at large.
A dream wagering opportunity would be to restore those '80s teams and let them play now. You could bet on the current teams and actually get points, and laugh in hysteria as they destroyed the defenseless wimps of 20 years ago.
