Excellent point.

Not only do I hope for a win tonight, I really really hope they can somehow win by 20+. Leave the Pisstons reeling. A guy can dream right?

Section, can the Heat win convincingly tonight?? thoughts?

Yeah, I really see it that way.

Hollinger (ESPN) has done some great statistical work on how the Heat has played only one "great game" in the series...(Game 1)...

The numbers support a Heat blowout win if they play a "great game" and Detroit plays to their average game of these playoffs.

I think the heat wins big tonight...but you never know with two teams that have so much history...old habits die hard, and these teams claw at each other's weaknesses throughout the game in EVERY game and it always prevents a total wipe out of the other team.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, we did that in game 5 and lost. I want to win tonight bad, but remember this is a very good Pistons team. They are hungry and don't want to lose. They want to go back home on there court and take it from us.

I am not looking past this....

I am just saying what they "should" do and what history dictates.

I think the Pistons really fed off their crowd in game 5 and the Heat did not respond well to that adversity. Down the stretch we played a little tight because of it. That won't happen tonight.

Also, the point about taking solace because Wade had a poor game is very important. Wade will come out blazing tonight and have a great game. Shaq will also feed off the crowd, ala game 4 sauntering down the court after the Rip Block + Coast to coast + silky lay-up. This will translate to success for the roll players too. Think about how much good Payton, Posey, Williams, and Walker feel after they sink the 3 created by a wade drive. It makes them try a little harder. The Pistons didn't really play that well in game 6. They just hit their free throws and Tay Tay had an uncharacteristically good game.

If we:
1) Slow down Tay Tay
2) Play good D (as usual in the playoffs)
3) Respond to the crowd
4) Drive to the basket to get more free throws
5) Hit those free throws . . .

. . . we win.

No I know, Tonight will be another war. I hope history is right, though.

I expect Toine to play very well tonight.

So do I. Remember how well we played when he was slashing and hitting those layups instead of jacking up 3s? I don't really feel he did that well enough in game 5. He did have 10 points though, I think.

Can't wait, Tonight is the defining game for Miami's season and I know Wade and Shaq will NOT let this series go back to Detriot.

I'm perscribing at least 4 or those little lobs D.Wade tosses up to shaq for thunder dunks. Man, I love that 'unstoppable' play.

I used to try and replicate against the 8 y/o's in my old neighborhood. Take the one skilled kid tell him to just toss it up, then funk it on some 6 year old. And I think, this is EXACTLY what Shaq must feel.

8 foot rim of course. Palm ball too.

 :sidelol:

Thats what I do in my neighborhood, except the kids are like 12 and 13, but way shorter than me (im 6'0 or 6'1)

But anyway I do my 'Dwyane Wade' Cross them over then the other kid steps up and I just dunk on them

I cant take it!!! I am at work, and get out in an hour to drive down south for the game!

The clock has never moved so slow!!!
