Pat Devlin must be feeling really secure in his job right now.

Not true at all. These days a QB needs to win the 3rd QB job even if there is no other candidate for that because it is as likely as not that a 3rd QB won't be carried on the roster. Devlin really needs to prove he is worth the roster spot and is really hurting from losing a chance here.
