I will add that miller does not impress me I was hoping he would and as a receiver omg he was bad I'm not sure how he didn't catch that flat where he juggled the ball and fell out of bounds. Knowshon get healthy your a way better receiver

Imo that ball should have been thrown way earlier.

I think you can be effective either way, the key is good strategy, design, and playcalling. Lazor can do that well from either, and there are advantages to a booth setup and to being on the sideline.

I don't know, I always remember Jim Johnson pacing down the sidelines for the Eagles, and that always seemed to add something extra to that defense.

Believe it or not, Miami didn't run that much from the shotgun. We mostly passed out of it. The Chip Kelly offense runs out of the shotgun a LOT. I think we're going to see some of that. I am happy.

The one big thing I hoped to learn from tonight's game was whether or not our offense was going to look like Chip Kelly or Mike Sherman. It doesn't look like Mike Sherman.

We had a fair amount of shotgun running last year, especially in games that weren't part of that midseason run where they actually forced the ball to the running game to make up for the first 4 games. When they wanted to feature the run game they definitely made it a point to feature some I formation, but that telegraphed what we were going to do pretty well.

There were still too many games where the staff did nearly everything out of shotgun including running, and it flat out didn't work.

Which is why I said there were advantages to both and that is the advantage of that way of doing it.

Coyle is down there too.

It'll be nice for him to see the missed tackles from closer up.

I find it interesting that both Coyle and Lazor are coaching from the sidelines. I hope this is not just for today, but more of a permanent change. Has anyone heard if this is how we are or are not going to do things this year?

P.S. Sorry if this was brought up already.

Steve

They just answered your question on the broadcast. Lazor is going to try coaching one from the sideline and one from the booth and see which way he prefers.

There you go they asked lazor and he said idk I will be in the booth one game and on the field the next. I will see what I like better

Special teams has been very good tonight

I don't recall Miller missing a pass. I thought Tannehill went 6-for-6 and Miller and the starters came out?

Boring game I don't see much from any of the backups really
