Nah I'm actually calm right now, it's only May. I'm saving that line for September!

the question is why haven't we BRUSHED BACK or flat out HIT Ortiz yet. Wang and Mussina won't hit anyone. And Randy has no location so even if he wanted to hit Ortiz he probably couldn't even if he wanted to at this point.

Bottom line is the past few years the Boston pitchers have hit Jeter, A-Rod and a bunch of NY hitters a ton of times. NY has done nothing. Ortiz keeps killing us, I would love to see someone in pinstripes go high and inside on Ortiz and just put some fear in him when he is at the plate. It's not dirty, it's baseball.

As long as we have this lineup, this team isn't going to win many games.

Melky and Bubba stink. They aren't everyday players. Even with Sheff back, they still can't play!! And Richard Hildagado isn't the answer either.

This team can't wait till July to make a move for a bat. Time to face facts. Matsui isn't coming back. And this team needs a hitter who can play the outfield. If they don't want to go all out for a Soriano or Abreu, fine. But a move must be made for a Reggie Sanders/Jay Payton type ASAP!

The last thing you want to do is piss off David Ortiz. He hates Yankee pitchers enough as it is...

In all seriousness though, I'm not sure that's going to accomplish much outside of giving Manny another opportunity to hit with runners on base. The Devil Rays have hit Ortiz in the past and he doesn't respond kindly, mainly he goes deep the next time up. Personally, after watching this guy hit for the better part of two full seasons, I'm not sure it's possible to rattle Big Papi.

The only Yankee pitchers who'd hit any Red Sox on purpose are Tampa Bay Tanyon or Farnsworth. I don't think hitting Ortiz is the answer but certainly, like you said, give him some chin music.

Reggie Sanders isn't the answer. He's a nice player but isn't going to help the Yankees much. Payton is interesting but I doubt Beane would trade him to an AL team especially the Yankees.

Apparently the Nats GM asked for Lastings Milledge for Livan Hernandez so god only knows what he'll want for Soriano. Phillies aren't dealing Abreu yet, unless they're out of the race.

However the big question is do the Yankees have enough to get anyone good?

HE kills us anyway! How can it be worse? What's he gonna do keep getting big hits against us? He does it anyway. Might as well TRY and F' with his mind a bit. Can't hurt. Nothing to lose!

Oakland has too many outfiedlers and must move one. Payton is on the block according to all published reports.

Sanders is better than Bubba and Melky, I would take him! At least he is a threat at the plate.

Philly would trade Abreu TOMMORROW! Do you people actually read newspapers or listen to newscasts?!?!?!?!?!?!? Seriously, this has been reported the day Matsui went down. Philly wants him gone (not necessarly in a deal to NY, but in a deal to anyone). They dont' want him!!! They are dying to move him. They dont' like him. They have too many outfiedlers also, and if they could add pitching in return they feel their team is stronger THIS YEAR.

The Nats owners HATE George, I doubt we deal with them anyway.

Do you actually believe a team would trade its best player when they're 3 games back in May? It's only May. I know the Phillies don't like Abreu and want to get rid of him however I'd be shocked if they traded him when they're still in the race. No matter how much of a pain he is, they can't win with David Dellucci in RF instead of him.

I still say Beane won't trade Payton to an AL team if he even trades him at all. Plus you'd have to give up a lot for Payton only because Beane knows what he's doing. He won't come cheap.
