This is the type of deal the Yanks are looking for AROD......Ervin Santana, Scott Shields, Chone Figgins, and a top prospect

If the Yanks do that trade, i'll die in a heart attack, Santana, Shields and Figgins sucks. Trade AROD to the Cubs for Kerry Wood, Mark Prior and Carlos Zambrano, now that's a very good deal...

I don't want to trade A-Rod PERIOD. As we saw last year, he's a Gold Glove fielder and a first class hitter when he's on his game. He'll be back on his game next year and it's so funny that this is an off-season for A-Rod with the numbers he's putting up. 75% of baseball players would be having a career year if they were putting up the numbers A-Rod is this year. A-Rod will figure it out, he's to good not too and last year proved it!

the national league is a joke. If the Mets don't make it to the world series then something is seriously wrong

I'm not sure the Mets would win a game in the WS. I think the Cardinals and Dodgers may have a better chance at winning a single game but neither can compete. If I were a Yankees fan i'd be rooting for the Twins right now because I think Detroit will be the worst team in the playoffs for the AL. For the Yankees a team that will score some runs playing against the Tigers offense would be a quick series, IMO.

Damaged goods aside from Zambrano.

Why would you want 2 disabled list regulars and 1 average pitcher for one of the best players in the game?

Zambrano isn't average. Sorry.

Okay, a little above average pitcher. Sorry but there is no way you pull off a trade of that magnitude including Wood and Prior who spend more time in the training room than the trainer himself.

Zambrano is better than "above average"

Do any of you people watch baseball? Seriously, he is one of the Top 5 starting pitchers in the sport currently. Throw in his age and he has a ton of value. If he didn't get hurt he would have won the CY YOUNG this year on a garbage team. His numbers on that garbage team are simply amazing.

:shakeno: Okay, my point was that trade scenario was basically like a straight up trade, ARod for Zambrano. Would you make that trade? Doubtful

The top 5 comment is strictly opinion based.

not but you throw Zambrano in with some prospects. Or maybe an Aramis Ramirez and then you got something.

But Zambrano would be the big chip coming from a team like the Cubs :shakeno: :shakeno: :shakeno:

Well of course, but only Brandon Webb, Johnan Santana, Roy Halladay, and Roy Oswalt I would currently throw in his class.

That is a bold statement.. So if you had to start a pitcher today for your life, Carlos Zambrano would be in the top 5.. Interesting..
