***The Official 2012 Miami Marlins thread***

Good morning, Marlin fans!

If you're just waking up, you're probably just finding out that the Marlins have traded away Hanley Ramirez to the Dodgers and are currently taking offers for Josh Johnson!

Exciting times here!

**** YOU LORIA

Hanley needed to go sooner or later, and Anibal was an expiring contract, but still, it's the principle. The Marlins are having yet ANOTHER fire sale.

It's necessary moves, but it doesn't mean it isn't embarrassing.

Now the tax payers of Miami are on the hook for over a billion dollars.

Loria the owner is laughing to the bank as he trades big contracts for prospects.

Glad to see Hanley go to be honest. Crushed that they dealt Infante though. I wish we could've included Jim Leyland in the Detroit trade. Tigers are frickin' stacked now.

It wouldn't be so bad if Loria and Samson weren't the owners. Even if the rest of the baseball office is pretty good, they put a mark on the franchise. And it sucks that our farm system is awful. We need our own Trouts and Harpers to keep the fan base hopeful for the future instead of knowing that anyone that has success in this club will be traded away.

How can Los Marleens survive? They're drawing Oakland A's-type numbers at a brand new stadium.

It's funny, the screams for "we'd be competitive, but we need a new stadium!", and then they go and pull these types of shenanigans. They should realize that beisbol isn't popular everywhere, and just because they build a new glitzy stadium in Miami doesn't mean people are going to come out in droves. For some teams, that does work, like the Giants building their ballpark by the Bay, but they've got a huge following all over the Bay Area...something the Marlins don't even come close to in Miami.

Had they committed to their team and maintaing a higher payroll, there's a chance that people on the fence, hesitant about being burned a few times, might have come in and decided to support the team. But, one rough patch, and the team gets broken apart. So stupid. Dumber than George Bush with Down Syndrome.

It would have been like the Heat breaking up their team last year when LBJ got in that tiff with Spoelstra. Teams need to take awhile to gel, especially ones where you've brought in a ton of big names. With big names come big ego's, and it's going to take some time to gel.

Hiring Ozzie Guillen wasn't going to do anyone any favors. I guess they figured a lunatic manager would be just what was needed to get things going. He can't manage or juggle personalities worth ****, and it's shown.

The Marlins are basically MLB's Washington Redskins, but with a giant firesale component tied to them. How anyone could support them year-in and year-out is beyond me. It's incompetence at its finest.

Sure doesn't help that Miguel Cabrera is going to win the Triple Crown

Boy we wet the bed with that trade.
