Is it me or did Wilfork look like he ate Paul Soliai in the offseason?

Shelley Smith did not see much action in St Louis and was allowed to walk. .
Pouncey is able to do things at C that Satele can't.
I'll take the PB.
This is the NFL, the other guys get paid too. If you think you are going to see huge holes like we saw today every week you my friend are in for a rude surprise. Most decent teams have good running days from time to time, but they don't happen game after game. Well not unless you are living in the 1970s watching Csonka and Kick. Our running game will be better than last year, but we didn't reinvent the wheel.
Just keep in mind the old saying, "you are never as good as you think you are after a win, nor as bad as you think you are after a loss".
Now this looks like a group of REAL Decent Cornfed!
A big time LT and a 1st round rookie RT make up the bookends to three interior corn stalks that no one else seemed to want. Shelley Smith did not see much action in St Louis and was allowed to walk. Colledge was not signed until late in the offseason after being released in Arizona. Satele, a veteran C was not even signed until training camp was well under way.
I think these 5 guys did an outstanding job today protecting Ryan Tannehill and opening up a few Knice running lanes for Knowshawn and Miller. In fact, the Phins had not ran the ball that well in a long time. Give a lot of credit to Moreno, but the cornfed earned some praise IMHO.
These guys deserve their own thread this season. If they continue to play like this, I expect the offense to score a lot more points than they did last season.
Finallly, has anyone even mentioned Mike Pouncey's name today? I have not seen one person even bring him up throughout the entire day. I guess no one missed him. Maybe it would have been a good idea to trade him in the offseason. In fact, if the OL continues to play well with Satele in there, why even worry about bringing Pouncey back? For what? I suppose if Satele gets injured we could need Pouncey, but why bother with him if we do not have to? All he can do is come in and mess up a good thing.
I think we are better off without Pouncey's antics honestly. He could be toxic to the chemistry we are trying to build on this offense. Maybe the Broncos could use him. I hear they have players who like to pop a few mollys. Pouncey's services could be appreciated in Colorado.
Pouncey WILL make the running game EVEN BETTER , he dosent only block his 1st guy But he takes it to the 2nd level , im not saying that satele isnt a good C but Pouncey is more powerful and he knows how to play the C ,maybe we can keep Satele to rotate , if he can play any other possion .Pouncey makes more open holes , and will make our OL even more Stronger than it is.
Eh, I'm not buying it. The offensive line is more about trusting the guy next to you and having camaraderie and continuity. I don't feel Pouncey offers that as a team mate. IMO, he's scum. Though, you know what they say about opinions... but right now my beer/chili farts smell wonderful.
The question here should be WHERE Pouncy should play when he comes back. If during the next 4 games Satele keeps playing at a high level why not insert Pouncey in one of the OG spots? Pouncey's strengths can be greatly utilized as a guard. Thanks God we have a great O-line coach now that will find a way to play the best 5 guys in the O-line....and I strongly believe that Pouncy is definitely one of out best O-linemen.
