The Pach's TOP 110

you want me to name an amount with no parameters in place? I Guess you arent really serious. All I wanted was to hear why you have Burrow ranked so low and Jordan Love ahead of him.

You have one hour to place a proper bet here in this thread or your trollish drivel will be gone from my reading material for good.

The parameters are keeping it to something that everyone isn't going to bust a side laughing at like $100k you pm'ed me earlier.

If there were to be any bet placed- there absolutely must be some parameters set. That you both can agree on. Hell, I’d like to see it happen, just for the amusement of it all and we’ll see how it plays out in a few years

I fear this thread has gone off course a bit...................

Youre the one who wants to bet money I just want to hear you say "I was wrong. "

As of right now your "bet" Is childish and completely objective.

Thanks for the show but PM me back when you are serious so we can handle it like men.

And if you want after we agree to the parameters THEN you can post it on this thread to make you feel like a big man.

Much appreciated.

I'm seeing J.R Reed and Willie Gay sneaking up on lists like this. Tannenbombs and I were talking about both of them recently. For quite a while I thought I was kind of alone in paying attention to those two. I always look for major college sleepers especially from the SEC and elite programs elsewhere. Reed has the length and wingspan that fits the modern game. But he is 2-3 years older than most of these guys, which will lower his stock.

Given that awesome Mississippi State defense of 2018 I kept thinking there had to be somebody who slipped through the cracks as the program imploded in 2019, dropping an incredible 2.2 yards per play defensively from 4.1 to 6.3.. Gay makes the most sense. He was an elite recruit. He seems to be moving up the lists as steadily as anyone. But there are off the field concerns.

Davon Hamilton is another elite program guy I really like and hope the Dolphins can grab. However they don't seem to have a pick in that spacing where Hamilton figures to go.

I don't get a chance to watch all the tape on each guy so sometimes my opinion can be influenced (positive or negative) by 1 or 2 tapes. Willie Gay is the perfect example. I soured on him the moment i watched that Louisville game. It was not good. I didn't see instincts. I didn't see good angles. I didn't see 4.46 speed in space. He made a huge hit around the 1:30 mark and nothing of impact again until the 2nd half. If he's free to see ball, run to ball.....he can be good. But he struggles getting through the garbage, get's stuck on blocks and is always late in his read, putting him in chase mode. As freaky as he tested, i expected more in that game.

All I know is...

The parameters are Burrow needs to be doing what quarterbacks that proved they were worth the #1 overall pick do.

Winning OROY and leading their team to double digit wins and playoffs the way Cam Newton and Andrew Luck did, and scoring around 30 touchdowns as rookies.

At least score 24 touchdowns the way Kyler Murray did as a rookie.

Be throwing 30 TD’s and making the pro bowl by year 2 and leading his team to the playoffs like Jared Goff did.

Hanging out in parking lots with Cheesecake Factory girls and throwing it to the defense every other throw while losing games in year 2 like Baker Mayfield ain’t gonna cut it.

In todays NFL you have to look for off-ball LBs who can cover. Those guys are super valuable, and it's where Gay excels. I wrote down just okay as a run defender, citing some of the same issues you see in terms of working through trash and getting washed out of plays. He needs some coaching there.

What I didn't see is late reads; actually I thought he displayed a good overall feel for the game, particularly in zone coverage. And his main strength, without doubt, is his ability to run with guys in man coverage. I think he gives you a lot on third down.

Sounds pretty clear Blake

I felt his reads in the run game were consistently late. He needs to see the ball to flow instead of seeing keys/flowing to the hole before the blocker gets to him and seals him off. He was sealed a lot.

In 28 career games:
He had >5 tackles in a game only 3 times.
He had 11 tackles for loss.....that's 1 every 2.5 games. To me, that confirms what i see on tape with him being late and not seeing the hole early enough to attack.

I'll see if i can find another game quick to look at. For a game in which he was credited with 11 solo tackles, the most in his career....i just don't see the hype.

Yeah..... I'm not agreeing to that, you're just wasting your own time now.

Can't imagine what kind of expectations you have for Tua if he's your number 1 QB

Always interesting and insightful.
Couple quick takes:
Dobbins - doesn’t make the cut and I get it - I’m concerned Dolphins are interested.
Delpit- he’s a day 1 starter IMO - Top 40 pick. He’s better than JR Reid who seems a step slow on tape.

Bredeson -Michigan - he’s a 10 year starter great tape. Top 100 pick.

Uche- Top 15. Think that’s more projection than production. Just a little high IMO

Yeah..... I'm not agreeing to that, you're just wasting your own time now.

About what I figured. You’ve been wasting your own time chasing me around quoting every single post I make just to ensure I see that you disagree with everything in it.

I’m fixing to put a stop to that sh^t though. I can guarantee you’re fixing to agree with that one.
