The Pats will blitz the crap out of the Phins on MNF

I would love to see Henne throw down the sidelines deep on Brandon Marshall's side and let him win the jump or get some PI penalties
We need to take some shot downfield one on one!!
 
The way to beat the pats is to limit their possessions, whether it be int or fumble, the fins must cause a turnover or two and cash them in. by field goal or touchdown.
 
Look the fins are no longer a run first offense, so why make it easy for them to stop the run if that is what new england's strength, the game plan changes every week and it depends on what team they're playing, it no longer "establish the run mentality" new surely does believe it's that way, "just win baby" that's all I want for christmas.
 
Blitz ALOT?? ... NOT so fast ... don't believe they will blitz unless they have to, they watch & know football ....

They will play us the same they have the last 2 years (the same as everyone else, last 2 years), until Henne makes them play differently.

They'll stack the box & take away the run & make us one-dimensional (force the game in Henne's hands)

They'll play disguised Zone Coverage which is Henne's weakness (the same as everyone else, last 2 years).

NE doesn't really need to blitz as our O-Line doesn't block well ... they'll try to get pressure on Henne with their D-Line (the same as everyone else, last 2 years).

Offense: Henne & Daboll will be trying to force NE out of their game plan. Very possible we will try to spread it & throw quick with alot of receivers ... to take advantage of NE's DB churning & lowered talent level (forcing some Man Coverage).

Defense: OUR D must keep us in the game, allowing our O to execute OUR Plan & not jump out of it to counter Brady.
 
Please do blitz us. Henne is one of the best QBs in the league against the blitz, so please Bill attack the **** out of us.
 
Henne and the offense have to set a tone and make NE rethink their game plan. This ball control cr@p needs to go, spread them out and call short/medium passes, draws, misdirection type stuff. their fatties up front can't get to the sidelines, no sense in smashing it up the middle. Get Reggie outside 1-1 with a LB, that's 7-10 yrds every time.
 
I could see BB attacking Henne, sitting back and just reacting was the biggest problem for our defense last season. They didn't force the issues and dictate things.

They'll switch in and out of the 34/43. They sent Mayo on a blitz during the Tamp game in a 43 with the big mama jama's inside.
 
Actually, I think Brady will be the one feeling the heat. Brady's safety valve Welker...didn't he injure his neck?
If we can get constant pressure against NE new line men, and then throw in a few blitzes, Brady and Welker might have a bad day.
On the other hand, Henne checking down to Bush or hitting some slants to BM make my toes tingle..

The Dolphins never were a run first offense. I don't understand why people think this. Go check how often they passed vs. ran last year.

ball is coming out quicker than the qb in that game was. i gaurrantee it.
 
I was thinking there was some insight to this thread when I clicked it. Henne does his best against the blitz, its that drop back zone that kills him. Let them come. (+ u have reggie back there to take a 1v1 to the house)

What killed the Pats D all season, works against Henne. So thats kind of funny.
 
Henne sucks in a lot of areas, but one thing he's been decent at is against the blitz.

It's when defense don't blitz and have extra people downfield in their zone coverages where he's just awful.

So I say bring it on.
 
Not sure what kind of playmakers the Patriots have but I don't think they got very good blitzers anyways.
 
Keep in mind the Phins were in max protect against heavy blitzes improving Henne's ability to be effective against it. Henne now has to recognize and counter something he wasn't doing with Henning. I doubt if BB loads up and comes with any conistency, instead relying on his front four to get pressure.

I think the Jets will be a true test of how well Henne can handle blitzes in this new offense.

max protect was the only thing Henne was allowed to do with Henning. Now he can audible to this new play they call the slant pass. It's going to blow Henning's mind when he watches from his assisted care facility
