What kind of dumbass argument is that? Burnett stunk, but Dansby played OK last year. I am not a Dansby fan and I'm honestly glad we let that fat loudmouth go, but the fact is that we replaced those guys by overpaying a couple of guys who are actually worse overall. If you want to run a couple of overpaid loudmouth bums out of town, that's great. But don't tie up a ton of money in a couple of overpaid bums who keep their mouths shut.

Because fans wanted Burnett and Dansby run out of town, it's okay for him to overpay a couple of guys who are terrible? What?

No. The biggest problem was the fact that we can't run the ball or pass protect. Guess who assembled the guys who can't run block or pass protect? You got it.

Lolwut. Burnett was one of the best LBs in the league last year. He was playing at a top 10 level.

We sure had all those components against the Steelers just two weeks ago.

Yep and we had those components vs the Bills the first time around, and the Ravens, oh and the Bucs. Can't forget about those Bucs.

Looking back now the only 2 wins we can really hang our hats on is the Colts win in week 2 (still haven't figured out how did that one) and the Pats win last week. The rest of our wins came against either teams that have issues (Falcons, Jets, Steelers), or about as good or worse that we are (Browns, Bengals, Chargers).

So those wins would be losses, would that have made you happy? does it prove your point? We are what we are deal with it.

Here is the thing remember all the complaining about Burnett and Dansby and the lack of turnovers we had last year? Ireland goes out and changes it with Wheeler and Ellerbe, now they havent been great especially Wheeler but i remember how AWFUL we were the last couple of years with both of them defending TE last year.

Now we were absolutely awful against the TE and sacrificed that for the run D. I think the main culprit is the fact that Soliai and Starks have not really played well this year and it puts more pressure on the LB's to make plays.

Now this doesn't excuse the crappy tackling that is on display but it is a TEAM effort from front to back.

Blaming Ireland does absolutely nothing, I didn't see everyone blaming him when we were winning so...why now?

What complaining about Burnett and Dansby? I think there was more complaining about the DB's than LB's. Nobody wanted Dansby or Burnett gone. That one came out of left field. Of course all the Ireland-lovers then jumped on that as a great move and make up crap like everyone wanted it. We didn't. Nice revisionist history though...

Starks and Soliai are not the problem. They hold up fine. They do their jobs. They aren't doing any worse than they did last year. Quite frankly, when Starks leaves this DL is going to fall apart IMO. Odrick does not take the double-teams like Starks does...

If anything, the problem has been that Wake and Starks have not been on the field as much. I am sick and tired of seeing Shelby in there, but Wake has been hurt. But, I have seen too often Starks out when we are in the red zone. That is coaching...

And as for Ireland, do you have blinders on? This isn't new. We have been bitching about him for years.

The Colts have had their share of issues this year, and the Patriots have been playing with fire all season.

It's a down year across the board in the NFL. Lot of mediocre/bad football being played.

I am NOT consistently wanting to replace Joe. That is not true. I have stated that IF Ireland is canned, Joe should go too. I do not want a forced marriage with another GM. Those relationships do not work.

Do I think Joe is a lousy coach on game day? Yes. Do I think he is a lousy motivator? Yes. Has done a good job keeping this team afloat amid the Martin fiasco? Yes.

That his team did not even compete is an issue.

Agree with Hayden. This team as currently comprised is not going to get it done. You have to consider all things in an effort to get better. If you aren't doing that, you shouldn't be in this game.

There's nothing wrong with evaluating Philbin's performance on its own merits, whether or not replacing a GM would be more impactful and whether or not a new GM and Philbin could thrive -- not co-exist, but thrive -- together. If you had a car that was leaking oil, wouldn't you look into whether it was worth fixing that problem or actually getting a new car? Of course you would. You always have to be trying to get better. Evaluating Philbin's role in the success or problems this team has had isn't jettisoning him, but preaching stability over ability and performance is nonsensical.

Buffalo has a better set of RBs a a healthier Oline and a better pass rusleading in sacks -> what say you?

Why is it that we leading the league in sacks agaisnst and have mustered so little in the run game -> cept when Tannehill himself takes off -> 3/5 of the starting Oline is gonna be replaced this offseason and one of Lamar and Daniel is gone (likely Daniel)-> you like this TEAM? You can honestly look at the this crappolla Jeff has assembled and give him a passing grade year after year?

You like this, and we'll consistently get outworked in the East in December each year, Tannehill can't withstand this kind of punishment, any improvement of this team in teh W L department is not because of Jeff but better coaching, a better QB all around, our entire draft sits on the sidelines

Does it prove Crazy305's point? Why do I have to accept what we are? I want more than what we are. I want more than the mediocrity that has white-washed this fanbase. And guess what; all of you zombies don't get to tell me how I should feel about the franchise I have loved all of my life.

My opine is we need a younger, innovative mind at OC.

The games we lost, which were sack-filled and non-adjusting, prove this. Sherman is nearing 70? or is sixty something? I thought I read an opine about him being too old for this long season thing. Something as simply getting this offense to 25-30 points a game is the answer.

We need 4 OL, Tall azz TE like Graham, and a nice size RB.

One more year. If it dont work, we will be getting a new OC anyways.

Every team has a game or two like this every season where they just stink up the joint. They are the same team that beat the Patriots a week before, they just seemed to be disinterested yesterday, like they were against Tampa. After Hartline dropped a couple passes, it seemed like the team just decided to pack it in. We never even crossed the Bill's 30 yard line. Horrible performance, but we still have a shot at making the playoffs, and having a winning season.

My opine is we need a younger, innovative mind at OC.

I watched Chip Kelly's Eagles last night and was extremely impressed in how smooth and effective their hurry up offense operates. It is like a beautifully oiled machine. They get the play calls in quickly. The O-line has a separate coach sending them the blocking schemes and they throw all kinds of screens, reverses and stuff that spreads the defense thin. It's brilliant. Then I look at the very predictable crap that Sherman puts out there and all can say is we need a new innovative play caller.

Burnett played poorly and Dansby was mediocre, but they were still better than the current garbage. He actually went out and made it worse and it's not his fault? Wha?
