More to the point, stop bringing up RW as a future contributor.

Ain't gonna happen.

He owes us about 8.6 million dollars, he isnt going away whether you like it or not. I haven't seen a good reason why he couldnt be coming back. As far as we know he could be getting in shape in India, avoiding the media, or getting high off his a$$. I dont see why he couldnt back it is all set up in front of him to do so.

Like many Miami fans, you have this situation totally wrong.

Ricky has gone away, he quit on this team last year and he's nowhere to be found. He's done as has given no indication that he intends to come back.

The 8.6 mil debt is about as meaningful to this clown as his committment to his team or the mothers of his children are.

i thought he was in rehab, and has been talking about coming back?

???? What would you do if you were him. I would be avoiding the media also. He is not suposed to say if he does or does not want to come back. First that might interfere with the deadline that he can join the team again.. Second why would Saban want him to tell anyone that he is coming back? Think about it, its Saban, he loves to lock info away from the media.

You are wrong to think that if he is coming back that he would give an indication that he is coming back.

The fact is that we just dont have an idea either way because no one is talking.

Why would we bring back the froot loop when we already have Ronnie, K.J., Gordon and Minor on the roster?

Uhh, probabaly because he has a hell of alot more upside then 3 of those 4, and if he can get back into the game he very well might be better then all 4?

could Kay Jay possibly play Fullback??? If we got Ricky back, Ronnie Brown will be the starter, and Ricky will back him up.....Ronnie would also play slot Widereciever.

Uh, what? Fullback involves blocking. You dont just grab an HB and say "Hey, you are big and we dont have a roster spot for you, hows about lead blocking buddy?"

Ugghh, give it up already. Ricky isn't coming back.

Do you have inside information no one else does? I'll answer for you: No. We dont know if he is or isnt coming back, and claiming you do one way or another is silly at best.

Ricky has lost like 20 lbs, he wont be in game shape, he wont be the bruiser he was, and he would probably be 3rd or 4th on the depth chart right now. Now thats not saying he isnt a great back he is, dilusional but great. He will not be ready to play, plus would have to serve a 4 game suspension...... Ummmmmm at 3 million+ ....No thanks!

Wild, WILD speculation. He wont be in game shape? There are alot of players not in game shape at this point. You dont know where he currently is physically, and you dont know how long it will take him to get back into shape. It usually isnt terribly long.

He would have to serve a 4 game suspension? Again, a whole lot of speculation and very little fact. We dont know if he would have to or wouldnt, there has been some question as to that.

Not really speculation here. By the rules, Ricky still owes the 4 game suspension. The league offered Ricky a deal during last season that would allow him to serve the suspension during his retirement. Ricky never responded by the deadline, so the suspension stands.

Oh so you want facts.....Lets see when Ricky failed the last drug test and then retired, that constitutes another failed test. FACT!
Thus he is actually due a one year suspension. FACT!
Last year the NFL had a deal in place that would allow Ricky to serve a 4 game suspenion over the last four games of the season. Ricky showed his gratitude by letting the deadline pass. FACT!
185lbs???
This article said that his lifestyle may have him below 185 lbs. Now would you call that game shape????
The players that you are refering to are generally overweight Ricky is under weight by alot. Its not as easy to put on muscle as it is to take off fat!!!

I don't understand how any Dolphin fans could pass up having both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams carrying the ball, it would be DEADLY!
You are right. It would be DEADLY , as in it would kill our team. For all those fans pining for Ricky to come back, wake up and smell the coffee. It is highly unlikely that he is coming back, and even if he does, it still remains to be seen if he would stay with the Dolphins or if he would even be any good.
I was a huge fan of Ricky, and there was no denying his talents when he was here. I bet most NFL defenders would say he was one of, if not the, toughest RB to play against. But that is all in the past. He totally abandoned his team, and even though Saban and some of the Fins are saying they would welcome him back, I believe this is just a smokescreen to possibly raise his value.
Everything that Saban has done so far leads me to believe that he would never take Ricky back to play for his team. The guy is a cancer. I'm not saying he is a bad person, but he is a bad teamate (a terrible one) and you just can't have a player like that on your team, no matter how talented he is. Not only did he just walk away from the team, but he seemed to be provoking and mocking some of his teamates in the weeks after he left. People don't forget that.
I wish this whole imbroglio would just go away. It only serves as a distraction to the team. It's a new era for the Dolphins, and one thta I hope does not include Williams. Both parties should move on : Ricky can begin his new life as a bohemian hollistic healer and the the fins can start working with earnest on winning a championship.

He's due a one year suspension? Note that this is contrary to basically every piece of information released by the media on the topic, you do realize that, right?

He's not serving a one year suspension. It's going to be four games. There is no way Saban bothers to deal with it if it is a 1 year suspension.

Btw, that's some killer proof that Ricky is under 185 pound. An article that I've never heard of citing an article they cant even link or remember suggesting he MAY be under 185 pounds.

I'd like to stick with like, reasonable and even marginally reputable sources ok?

Here's how- any football fan who knows the league realizes that you can't count on, trust or put your team in the hands of someone as unstable, selfish and untrustworthy as Ricky Williams.

He screwed Miami worse than any other athlete ever screwed another team.

Its time to turn the page on this screwed up loser- and that's what Williams is.

"He screwed Miami worse than any other athlete ever screwed another team."

I don't find that accurate.

Cincy lost there starting RB to a crack house the day of the superbowl.....and Oakland lost there starting center for their superbowl latest superbowl visit. These are just 2 examples. I feel there are more...like year long contract holdouts, Rae Carruth's attempted murder and a few others. Hey, I was as shocked as anyone with Ricky but other players have screwed and/done much worse to other teams....BUT you are right...it's time to let it go.....until he comes back
;)

Is it just me or is everyone just assuming that he is sitting on his a$$ this whole time and that he is going to be horrible when/if he comes back... I dont think you just forget how to be a runningback after being away for a year, when thats what you have been doing since you were a kid... He could just as easily be as could as he was when he comes back as he could be horrible. Stop speculating because we dont know anything... not his wieght, where he is at, what he is doing, if he is in shape, if he wants to come back. Saying one way or another is just stupid because we just dont know.

i dont know about anyone else, but i have been thinking about how great of a rb combo the fins could potentially have next year, assuming ricky comes back. i realize this would only be for one year bc we would want to trade ricky in the long run, but for next year at least, imagine ronnie and ricky as a 1 2 punch.
I was reading then as soon as i saw ricky's name i stopped:wink:
