This guy is freakin' idiot

was Sherman great a week ago? It comes down to the players making plays, your players made plays against NE but did not against Buffalo. EVERY fanbase blames the OC when things don't go well, it's the job of the players to go out and execute and they failed last Sunday.

Uh, NO. Read the comments from the Bills D coordinator and how we never adjusted to their blitz so they just kept doing it. Sherman is a bum. It's indefensible. We've been at the bottom of the league in offensive since he's been here. Time to cut him loose and get a younger guy like Shula or Shanahan.

Yay lets blame the OC... Good thing we havent seen this movie before. O wait....

The oline and a mediocre QB is the reason we rank in the bottom of the league in O.

sherman called great games vs. Steelers and Pats 2nd game. This week he blew chunks. midseason he blew chunks. He doesnt get it in the end. He has good experience but we simply do not get enough people involved in the gameplans.

what happened to Matthews?
What happend to Sims ever getting some real plays go his way. He ussually gets one or two.
Instead I am seeing Marlone Moore out there wide. ????? dude showed up like 6 weeks ago.

Get Kubiak in as the new OC. At least he'll call some boot legs and get Tannehill moving on the throws.

I can wrap my head around that. Can Philbin? not seeing it unless Sherman retires.

Two of our wide receivers are above average but we still don't have a true number one.

but yet again, this is not how this system works. If you have an Alpha, they will just be complaining. Thats why Marshall had to go.

But I would consider Josh Gordon for a second round pick. That will surely open it up bigtime. WR done.

yep and before that it was henning's fault and before that whoever the other OC was. Fans always blame the OC but it comes down to execution from the players. Ryan had not been playing as well as his #s indicated outside of the NE game where he was outstanding and he was terrible this past Sunday. you can have the best gameplan in the world but w/o execution it is meaningless.

Speculation, but receiver is still one of my lesser worries in this offense. Fixing the oline and running game has a far higher priority than getting a number one. Than there's still the Sherman issue.

There is no doubt that this is true and particularly in the Bills game. They played their hearts out.

But there is also another variation here. Sherman couldnt adjust back to what he knows worked before. Its like he just gave up in this one and we will restack our deck for you.

No doubt. Same here. First priority is get some nasties on both sides of line. DL one stud for middle and rest OL.

But upgrade is what we seek no? When I see Gordon putting up those numbers in a crap offensive team looking to rebuild, and Ireland penchant for screwing up 2nd rounders, why not? Put Hartline in the slot with Gibson and mix it up more moving guys into slot and back outside. upgrade for strong week to week nasty and injury occurs, you have still got firepower.

and not a huge need for a big TE. Just let Sims develope.

I'm no huge fan of Sherman, but for the last month or so he hasn't drawn my disdain as much, and even has earned praise from me. Now I don't think he did a good job adjusting on Sunday, but the OL was just so overmatched I really don't know how much blame he deserves.

That being said, whether it's on him or personnel, the fact that we can't consistently line up and play short yardage football is an issue. While I understand the argument some have made that we haven't given him good OL pieces to work with, I do think Jim Turner may be losing his job. You can make as many arguments as you want as to why it isn't his fault but once you get over 50 sacks in a season you kind of lose the benefit of the doubt IMO

He's got bums like Brenner and Garner playing decent, if anything I blame him for not benching Martin and Clabo at the beginning of the season quick enough.

He's also turned Clabo around as bad as he played against the Bills, he's improved compared to the first few games.

There's no argument the problem of this Offensive Line has been personnel and can only be fairly blamed on the scheme change from Sparano to Philbin.

Even the Martin pick, Ireland has never drafted for a ZBS and thought a smart albeit week OT would be a fit...

BS, against the best pass rush in the NFL an offense needs a run game and screens to slow it down. That's play calling, if the proper plays are called it's up to the players to execute then, but putting players "behind the 8 ball" with bad plays puts them in a position to fail.

Consistency is the key.

I'd like to see RT17 do a few more bootlegs, rollouts, & be in the pistol formation more.

Speaking of formations, I love the diamond that Okla St, Green Bay, The Niners, etc use. The variation on the I (QB In the pistol, & FB lined up in gap behind C/G or G/T) is another good one.

The I Bone SF used last night ( CK7 under center, then an OL (who motioned out), Miller (FB) & finally Gore) was interesting.

Sherman's D&D carries no draws or misdirects, and the only screens are receiver fed; rarely a check screen, never a middle, and god forbid he tries a throwback. scheme is very strict, and conservative; still has that 'managing the manager' feel. Offense in handcuffs imo. and what's with sitting in the booth? get down with the players and 'feel' the game with them.

it's easy to see why Johnny Football redshirted to stay away from him at A&M
