I blame Sherman way more than even Ireland for what happened Sunday (though, Ireland brought in Philbin who swore on having Sherman there, so Ireland still loses here). Sherman's playcalling NEVER adjusted to what Buffalo was doing. If the Bills had just rushed 4 and blown up our O-line guys over and over, you'd have more of an argument for "it's the players". But the Bills scheme kept crushing us over and over and we never adjusted.

yep and before that it was henning's fault and before that whoever the other OC was. Fans always blame the OC but it comes down to execution from the players. Ryan had not been playing as well as his #s indicated outside of the NE game where he was outstanding and he was terrible this past Sunday. you can have the best gameplan in the world but w/o execution it is meaningless.

You are absolutely correct, at some point when is it the players responsibility? People are forever looking for a scape goat.....this team is one win and a charger win from making the playoffs in this coaching staffs 2nd yr with a roster that has been turned over and the fire OC band wagon is out......Bill Walsh could have called the plays in that game Sunday and we would have lost...players have to execute.....hindsight is 20/20 it amazes me that the voice of reason on this board is a Jet fan.......

Did we forget that this OC just took out Belicheat two weeks ago? give the guy some credit and put the blame equally on the team and coaches.......

to be fair to most of the folks fans need a scapegoat, we did it w/ Schottenheimer 2 years ago, you guys did it w/ Henning. fans will always blame the OC when the O isn't performing as well as they think and I am sure some of the blame falls on Sherman who isn't a great OC but it coms down to execution.
