This is making us look dumb.

And it makes Fisher look smart.

The guy isn't desperate for a job and he is going to take his time and pick his best option. In his position any smart person would do the same.

Best thing to do now. Chill out. Drink a beer. Watch some porn. When the Dolphins have a new head coach they'll let the rest of us know about it.

Do we have to stop those three things when a coach is named?

I think this is looking pathetic. Look, I know it is not the same thing, but would you want to marry a girl that was having a hell of a time deciding between you and some other guy? It makes us weak. I want a coach who thinks that coaching the Miami Dolphins is the greatest job in the world, that REALLY WANTS to be here, and can't wait to challenge Brady and the Pats twice a year. I think we should retract any offer to Fisher. Screw him, he had his chance. Bring on someone who will bleed aqua and orange, like some of us do.

I disagree. I actually think Miami is in the better situation for once on this coaching race. They have interviewed the candidates and are waiting for a decision on their first choice. If Fisher turns down the Dolphins an offer will be made to the second choice candidate within hours I bet.

Compared with St. Louis Miami is actually running a decent coaching search this time around. Ross identified a list and interviewed that list, the offer will go to most willing and then qualified choice.

When you have an ability that is in demand I would field all offers and take the one that provides for the greatest level of success period. That doesn't mean taking the first job offered. If he takes a job with a bad situation he may never get offered a job coaching job again. He should take his time and we should allow him to. It's that simple. Wherever he goes he will be dedicating the majority of his life to that organization and he should feel good about that decision.

Jeff Fisher is not some pretty girl we're trying to marry..... This is a business. Although, marriage is somewhat like a merger.

Posts like this make us look dumb. So you want us to sit and wait and not interview anyone because it looks transparent, that's smart. They are interviewing in case he says no, they need a back up plan. If they ONLY interviewed him and he said no, THEN we would look dumb. For now, this post will do the trick.

com'on the guy is BEYOND dragging this thing out. he is not that high a caliber of coach. im not sure why Phin Nation is so obsessed with this guy. we should be just waiting on the best candidate and judging him after he wins or losses ball games.

i have to agree though, how long are we going to pine for this guy. i dont know about the dudes on here who called the OP "insecure" but if a chick is every wishy washy she isnt worth my time. i dont wait around for anyone esp over a week.

this is just silly now. regardless of what he is thinking at this point i say if a guy blows us away in an interview we dont put him on hold until Jeff Fisher makes up his mind - we just hire the guy. Fisher is not the be all end all. he is an ex coach so what? he hasnt accomplished much he is just an ex nfl coach.

and its not bleeding agua and orange as in how a fan would "pull for a team" but it is about seeing the pieces, the situation etc, and saying yeah i can do something with that. i have an idea for that, i want to compete there, i could live there, i like working with this guy. ETC. it may take a few days but not 2 weeks.

my honest GUESS is that he wants the rams job but he wants the money/star treatment ross is giving him and that is going to be a bad situation long term for us fans, i could be wrong but thats my take at this point. no reason it should take this long. he could also be starting a bidding war, which is equally as annoying to me.

Fisher is in the prime of his coaching career. He can take as much time as he wants or needs.
I am sure there will be a decision by the end of the week.
Until then we can read all the conflicting reports of his decision.
I will not believe anything is done until I see the press conference.
The dolphins have handled this coach search as well as can be expected. Some of the lesser prominent names may end up on our staff in some other capacity. This is being handled very efficiently IMHO.

Whether Fisher is 'the guy' or not... The fact that the Dolphins are taking a go out and get him approach is refreshing to say the least after all the ridiculous 'safe' decision making that has gone on around here with this so called 'braintrust'.

fisher is a dope

cross your arms, pace the sideline and look all perplexed = jeff fisher
