This looks good for Joe

Typical reporting from an ESPN guy. I was listening to XM on my way to work this morning and it's amazing how differently the NFL channel and ESPN (Mike and Mike morons) were discussing the situation. The NFL guys were calm and informative, Mike & Mike and Cris Carter wanted to wipe the Dolphins off the face of the Earth.

Don't go slandering his mom now. She'll hunt you down as well.

I'm not slandering anyone. But if a guy grows up weak and let's people push him around, are you telling me his upbringing isn't a part of that issue? I thought fathers were supposed to teach their sons to stick up for themselves.

I didn't listen to any radio this AM but I'm not shocked by what you're saying

Very clever. If he saves Philbin, there is a chance for him to resume playing if this all falls legal posturing apart.

Yes, it does look good for Joe however it doesnt look good for whoever Martin did go to. Whoever he did go to (if it stopped there and nothing was done) will be liable which still makes the employer liable. If JM didnt go to anyone, then he doesnt have too much of a case and it will be hard for him to sue the NFL or Dolphins, however he could still sue RI.

Adam Schefter@AdamSchefter 1m During instances of alleged harassment, Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin did not go to Joe Philbin to voice concerns about how he was treated.

Well this must be wrong, because according to half of the people on this forum our whole FO is going to burn in hell for his. After they are fired by Ross, of course. Oh, and Ross is going to sell the team..

If true, which I believe it most certainly is, this is the end of the so called scandal.

A coaching staff that doesn't know whats going on in its locker room, should be fired.

Nonsense!

The players have always controlled the locker room and always will. If anyone outside of Martin and Cog deserve blame it is the other leadership and players in that locker room.

Personally, I don't believe the blame goes beyond Cog and Martin.

Someone can be on top of the organization and still have something occur in it they aren't aware of can't they? Help me understand what Philbin should've done.

Apparently to some Philbin should of hired Ms. Cleo!

He didn't feel comfortable going to Philbin because Philbin doesn't have pink furniture and lifetime on the tv in his office

He went to his parents, that isn't very very clear?

I'm only going to ask this ONE MORE TIME.

What should the coaching staff have done? If Martin, the man himself who is the one who "started" this all, does not tell the head coach anything in the meetings they had together (1 on 1), what else can be done?

None of the detractors are going to answer this Phinz. They can't. They are just pushing their anti Philbin/Ireland stance.
