This Super Bowl Looks Really Bad For The Dolphins

Philadelphia understands that you win in the trenches. That they pressured Mahomes all game without any blitzing shows what a dominant front four can do.

That's where Miami should concentrate its efforts in a draft that's setup for that. Fix the offensive line in free agency mostly.

Also, interesting that the Eagles ran the ball more than any other team.

it is also a deflection from the issues at hand. why not just take the L and move along? the dolphins are not close. the way they have built the team, and the whole culture (soft), they have no chance. tua is not a playoff QB either. we have a scoreboard.
Dude I wanted fangio to stay. I knew he was leaving after cowboys game last year. He just didn’t want to be here. And he was Right some guys on defense don’t want to work hard. It’s not taking a loss.
But he took three weeks to make agree to contract that was all ready drawn up.
It was always two year thing at most and maybe only one. It turned out to be one.

Don’t understand who you are talking to or saying should take loss. McDaniel wanted fangio in 2022. Ross and some of his buddies insisted he kept Boyer
But Fangio didn’t want to be here.

It’s like a player Mikah Fitzpatrick
He wanted out. We had all the control. Shouldn’t have caved. But with a coach we had no control.

Vic is a great d cord but he is from Philly. Miami was not his town from the start

You want to blame Grier McDaniel tua for a lot of things
I would agree with all of them probably

But I told the poster dj (can’t remeber rest of username ) that fangio might leave. This was after Dallas or ravens game. It was known. He didn’t want to be here.

Exactly. The dude ALWAYS wanted to be in Philly. He liked cashing the checks while he was here though and always blaming somebody else when his D wasn't up to snuff.

Weaver's D played better this year with worse talent than Fangio last year, but the grass is always greener my man on FH.

excuses excuses. he left because he thought the dolphins were a joke and he was right. he has a super bowl, the dolphins have golf, once again. scoreboard.

no he didn’t. He left cause he didn’t want to be here. I told you it was almost decided last December. What else can I say without saying I know this for sure.

I don’t see McDaniel and Grier learning anything from watching a team like Philly sadly. You could pop in 25 different QB’s into that offense and they would have still rolled today. Team is so well built

No excuses. It took him over 3 weeks to sign his contract because he was hoping he could be elevated to DC in Philly for 2023. He decided he couldn't wait any longer and gave it go. Unfortunately, he was as half-ass with his coaching down here as his players were (and unfortunately, still are). Weaver got more out of them than he did. Like you said, scoreboard.

Vic is a great DC, when he wants to be somewhere and he has the talent. Again, he NEVER wanted to be here. He tried to get out of it and stay in Philly the whole time, but they were dealing with a tampering issue with their previous DC who got hired by the Cardinals.
True but even though he was here for the money he still called out this culture like others have as well

fangio wins a super bowl. we have d*ck. and you will keep making excuses. everything the dolphins do is right, which is why we haven't won a single playoff game in 24 years. must just be bad luck i guess

Not a deflection at all. EVERYONE knows the Dolphins aren't close. Just most of us don't need to write a 5,000 word essay to make that point by pointing out how the Dolphins aren't as good as "place team name here". Forget about the Eagles, you can put any team who made the playoffs in there.

Same goes for your other post which could have been "I don't think Tua is a good QB and he won't ever win anything", but you had to make it a 5,000 word discertation behind the facade of "the Dolphins don't want to win, they just want to keep their QB1 healthy". Pssst, EVERY team wants to keep their QB1 healthy and it starts with a dominant OL that both teams had entering this game today.

OP in a nutshell

Very true.....like just about every pundit has. I'd still expect his D to hold the Texans out of the end zone 2 times in the last 2 minutes of a game when it means a division championship.

-Vic Fangio wins them the game. Fangio was right to get out of town and the soft as puppy poo environment here. An experienced football guy, he could tell this thing was going nowhere, and didn't want to be forced to coach in a way that was antithetical to his belief set about what makes a team successful.

-The Eagles are the polar opposite of the Dolphins. Tough. Tough in the trenches. Not about finesse and speed, and gimmicky crap. They just shove it down the opponents throat. We sent Wilkins and Rob Hunt packing and chose to invest the money in finesse and age (and Tua).

-DeVonta Smith catches the deep ball for the TD. Did we really need to do the dipsy doo dunkaroo and give up the draft capital to trade back up for Waddle? Smith is just as good, if not better.

-Howie Roseman smokes us on every trade.

-Jalen Hurts > Tua, and was a 2nd round pick, and they didn’t need to tank to get him. Doesn’t put up the gaudy stats, but is tough, and can beat good teams, and has balls and doesn’t choke all the time in big moments. And he can sneak the football too. The fact that we cannot run a QB sneak remains embarrassing.

-Eagles do not architect their team around keeping the QB healthy, they assume he will be OK, and build the rest of the roster the best they can.

-Eagles are a run first team.

-Cooper DeJean was drafted in the 2nd round. Compare him to Iggy, and Cam Smith. Instead we hand out massive contracts to old CBs on the decline. The Eagles drafted two CBs that can play (with Fangio probably having influence on those picks). Oh, and did I mention Fangio, he was right about Cam Smith too.
This game was won in the trenches. Grier should be fired. This is how you win a SB. Sorry, you out Tua on Eagles they still win.
