Thoughts on Replacing Brandon Gibson?

What we need is a 5th and 6th WR. I don't want to see moore in the game. Starting the season with 4 WR is borderline retarded. What would happen if one went down to injury? Oh yea call marlon moore. Especially losing our best TE and probably best redzone threat last season, adding our best WR redzone threat to that list hurt us badly.

Provided that he is fully healthy, Gibson was a good contributor. Don't be too eager to chop him. With better play calling from Lazor, Gibson can be more of a weapon.

Brandon Gibson played incredibly well as the No. 3 guy before his injury, if he is healthy next season we are in good shape at WR. Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, and Mathews make receiver our deepest position on the team.

Gibson got hurt at the end of October, it's already almost been 5 months, if all is going well he should be fine by camp.

Getting Armon Binns back and rishard Matthews is still developing. Wr class is deep though

My thoughts are that Gibson is Philbins son and that if any WR comes in here it will be via draft.

hint. Moncrief.

Rishard will be starting, I assume, and Gibson will come back when he can. I haven't heard any updates.

I don't know if it will help to make a lateral move in FA if we already have a serviceable guy. I'd rather pick up a TE, although there's probably slim pickings like there was last year.

I'll start off by saying that I was a big fan of Gibson last year and thought he played well for us. He was solid. At the same time he coming off his patella tendon injury and that takes roughly 5 to 6 months to recover (for football activities). Which means he can START training in June. Either way his recovery is a big question mark. Considering we have a new OC, the slate is clean if we bring in a new guy as far as learning the offense. I would entertain the thought of replacing him with someone in FA.

A couple guys that come to mind to replace him are Andre Roberts (1st choice) or Emmanuel Sanders. I dont think either of these guys are going to get big bucks in FA and might be had for the right price.

Note: Cutting him would cost $3 Million against the cap this year. Keeping him would cost $3.7 Million this year.

He was placed on IR in October. It takes roughly 5-6 months to recover. That's June?

Replacing any of our WRs now will just be silly. I actually really like our top 4 WRs + Clay. Each play their role well...just werent utilized under Sherman. Give Tanne time to throw, a less predictable offense, and some resemblance of a run game and this could be really good.

No need to rplace any of the WR's at this point. That's probably the position where we need the least help.

Ozzy rules!!
