Thoughts On This Play By Tua - Is The Commentator Right?

"He's not a difference maker, he's not a needle mover." Very strange take after what we saw this past season while Tua was out. Maybe Thompson and Huntley are just that bad, but using a single play as the bedrock of your argument is pretty weak as well.

Maybe we should have finheaven have one forum about analyzing one play,?

It’s really quite simple. Tua’s strength is not arm-strength. His strength is a quick release, accuracy, processing, anticipation and placement in short-medium range. He is fully capable of long range success, but it’s not his superpower. When healthy, he is a top 10 QB. His strengths very much outweigh his weaknesses.

lol wish people that didn’t have a clue would speak less

This is on the windup after Tua has decided to throw and he’s not open at all. Just starting to break, eventually does come open but most certainly has someone over the top. That however is Tanner Connor who has 3 career reception for 16 yards. Complaining about a 30 yard completion and saying he should of went to tanner Connor is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever seen on here and something better off kept to yourself in the future as to avoid the complete embarrassment of every other poster thinking you lack an kind of football IQ at all.

You got a safety flowing horizontal who has responsibility on that inside seam route coming right into his kitchen and reek running full gallop unimpeded vertical.

He’s absolutely gonna out run that horizontal safety if it’s out in front.

I mean the whole damn second level of the defense is basically squatting there.

For me its not a Tua thing. Like some here with agenda. I don't care if you like him or hate him. He hasn't won anything..etc
He isn't going anywhere at least contract wise. So let's just keep beating the Tua drum to death on here.

I was replying to another poster who said "However, i can hand pick 1 throw from any QB that ever played where the ball was underthrown, overthrown, etc." I posted the clip neither as a defense of Tua nor a criticism of Mahomes, just reinforcing the point of the guy I was replying to.
No criticism from me, my friend.

I was just comparing what I was seeing.

I agree that you can cherry-pick from nearly any game with any QB.

Bull ****. This was another attempt to look neutral so you could elicit negative comments about him.

It was clearly a touch throw between defenders on purpose. Should've been a TD.... give me a break. Any further and it would've been a pick by the over top safety. Yes, Of that I'm certain.
He is so obsessed by Tua. TDS it gets so old. I think he’s done 138 post about Tua

From what I remember on the all-22 on that play the safety had the angle on reek and it was very close on whether he’d be able to outrun him on the vertical so i remember thinking it was a good throw by Tua.

I could be wrong, gonna try to go back and watch it again.

He puts the ball further downfield and the safety is in play. It's probably an in-completion, but could be an interception. Safety's have a job that they get paid for, they're the last line of defense. You can see clearly that the S is coming over the top. IMO, he throws the ball in between defenders, not his best throw though. The chance that a longer throw nets a TD is improbable.

Wow my post definitely got to you! I'm not even complaining about the play, it's obvious that he takes the safety into consideration and adjusts his throw for a great play. I was more surprised that the video was incredibly picky about that, and if anything didn't mention the guy running open shortly after the safety commits to Hill. Not a big deal bud. No one cares about your football IQ, especially with your belittling tone. You could be the smartest person in the room and no one would care with how you talk to others.
very well said!
